Located in the heart of YAS mall, the eatery offers upscale casual dining with cuisine inspired by Japanese, Italian, and Mexican dishes. The service was outstanding from all staff we interacted with including the friendly hostess, our waiter, the Sushi chef, and the manager who visited us and ensured proper service and welcoming opinions on the food.
The Orange Kicker juice was super fresh and indeed a great pick me up being made with fresh Orange Juice, carrots, and ginger. The Cauliflower Karaage was outstanding, simple, lightly fried, and accompanied by an excellent dipping Japanese sauce. The Chicken balls were as delicious having soft shredded chicken with quality melted cheese and deep fried to perfection with an excellent addition of salsa verde that cuts through the cheesy heaviness, a great balance, and a great presentation addition. The Chicken Teriyaki bento box was excellent with excellent professionally crafted and sliced chicken that is barely grilled with proper Teriyaki sauce that is not overwhelming in taste and amount accompanied by boiled veggies seaweed salad and Kimchi, this was a great way to introduce those who may not have an affinity to Japanese cuisine. The Spanish Chorizo Pasta was exactly that, pasta cooked al dente in tomato sauce and parmesan with meat substituted for pieces of rich Chorizo, it was pleasant but may not be to everyone's liking given the rich flavor. Prices are at a premium but given the great variety on the menu, the excellent casual yet professional service is...
Read moreWe have been dining at this restaurant in Yas Mall on a weekly basis since it opened. The team has always treated us exceptionally well, accommodating our gluten and dairy allergies with kindness and understanding. Unfortunately, today, all those years of positive experiences were overshadowed by a disappointing change in service and menu flexibility.
The restaurant recently updated its menu and refused to serve our regular dish—something as simple as grilled steak and sautéed shrimp. After 45 minutes of deliberation, the chef reluctantly agreed to make it but warned that this would be the last time. Additionally, they removed the gluten-free pasta from the menu, leaving even fewer options for those with dietary restrictions.
To make matters worse, we waited for over an hour just to be served a basic steak and shrimp dish. This level of service and disregard for loyal customers is incredibly frustrating. A restaurant that once prided itself on inclusivity and great hospitality has now made it clear that accommodating dietary needs is an inconvenience.
It's disappointing to see such a drastic shift in attitude. We truly hope they reconsider how they handle their loyal customers, especially those with dietary...
Read moreWhat a great experience. We were walking around the mall checking out the new restaurants.
We asked to see a menu and were excited to see both pictures and descriptions of the food in the same place. (Having only pictures OR only the name is a pet peeve of mine) well done Leen’s website builder. The hostess and the operations manager were helpful in steering our describing to eat here by being knowledgeable and excited about their offerings.
Drinks ordered we sat to look at the menu. Habib again to the rescue to help. We ordered Beef Tacos, and Pumpkin Soup for appetizers and the Chicken Mango salad and Wild Rice Salad . The food came quickly and looked amazing. The taste was delicious, the beef tacos were crispy and tender at the same time. The Wildrice Salad was a glorious party for my tastebuds. It was grainy and fresh sweet and savory.
We finished lunch with coffee, I had an Ethiopian bean Chemex.
The biggest downside, were the prices were a bit high.
Habib came over to get our thoughts on how lunch was and anyway they could improve in our opinion. It was an enjoyable lunch and great food, we...
