If you are up for an adventure and want to try something new or different, I would highly recommend this restaurant. I've never tried Burmese cuisine before, and this is what I love about living in Abu Dhabi, or living in the UAE in general, that there are plenty of cuisines from every part of the world to try here.
They have a well detailed menu that would help understand what they offer, allowing first time customers to realise how much flavour each dish holds based on the specific ingredients used on a certain dish.
I basically ordered mostly vegetarian dishes to try something new, so for those who are vegetarians, I can vouch for you to try their vegetarian options as well.
Burmese Style White Fungus Salad - this salad is unique for its taste because of the umami you get from the white fungus and the savoury, sweet and smokey burmese dressing it has adds a depth of flavour and with a somewhat chewy texture from the white fungus (fancy word for mushrooms), this is a must try. It has a similar flavour profile with the Thai Papaya salad because of the onions and coriander that gives a bright and citrusy flavour. This is a good side dish to get.
Vegetable Roll - this is also an aquired taste because of the black mushrooms filled inside but with fresh herbs, onions/shallots to combine with the savoury umami flavour of the black mushrooms, this vegetable Roll provides an element of surprise when it comes to it's flavour combination. This must be tried to be understood. Again, being a Burmese version of a vegetable spring roll, this has its own taste that would appeal to those who wants to try semething different.
Stuffed Bean Curd - This one is definitely a unique flavour combination. Fried Bean Curd (Tofu), filled with shredded cabbage, chili, lime and fried garlic makes a savoury, crispy delicious dish worthy to try. What I loved about this is that it is so refreshing at the same time because of the lime filling inside, cleansing the palate that makes you crave for more of it and absolutely more of their other dishes to go along with it.
Vegetable Fried Rice - Simple and well seasoned jasmine fried rice cooked and lightly drizzled with soy sauce, mixed with fresh vegetables like cauliflower and broccoli compliments all of our other dishes to complete our dining experience.
Burmese Vegetable Fritters - I almost forgot about this one. But this is definitely the star of the show. This is a chef's selection of vegetables that includes onions, enoki mushroom, sliced potatoes to name a few which is perfectly coated with a tempura-like batter and are deep fried to perfection. The batter is light, airy and crispy that keeps you wanting for more. The vegetables itself are all fresh and the variety of vegetables are absolutely what makes this a craveable dish to definitely order to those who want to try something that has a familiar flavour that is welcoming to any one who likes or loves deep fried food that isn't heavy on your taste buds.
Tamarind Ice Tea - Refreshing lemon iced tea combined with tamarind adds a burst of sweet and sour experience to the palate making this drink a go to to reset and repeat the whole process of enjoying my ordered dishes all over again.
The servers are amazing, the place is clean and it was quiet when we were dining in.

Read moreMy recent visit to Little Asian Restaurant was an absolute pleasure, largely thanks to the exceptional service provided by Zu, who was incredibly kind and attentive throughout my meal. What made this visit even more special was that it was my very first experience with Burmese food, and Little Asian Restaurant certainly set a high bar! The chicken satay was a generous portion with flavorful chicken and an addictive sauce. The chicken pho was exceptional, boasting a delicious homemade broth and perfect meatballs.
I also ventured into the dried mutton and tea leaf salad, which was incredibly interesting and unlike anything I've tasted before—definitely something everyone should try for a memorable flavor experience. Overall, Little Asian Restaurant offers a wonderful combination of delicious food and outstanding...
Read moreI had a pleasant experience at Little Asian Abu Dhabi. The food was absolutely delicious. Every dish I tried was enjoyable, making it a spot worth visiting for Asian cuisine lovers.
The staff were incredibly polite and kind, always greeting with a smile and making sure everything was fine. Their hospitality added to the overall positive atmosphere.
However, the waiting time was quite long. It took around 30 minutes to get my food, which was a bit frustrating, especially considering the restaurant wasn’t too crowded at the time. If they could improve the speed of service, this place would be even better.
Overall, great food and excellent service, but be...
