A Sweet Indulgence at The Galleria Mall, Al Maryah Island Nestled in the upscale surroundings of The Galleria Mall on Al Maryah Island, Abu Dhabi, Magnolia Bakery lives up to its iconic reputation as a haven for classic American desserts. On my recent visit, I ordered the Lotus Banana Pudding, Chocolate Cup Pudding, Lotus Slice Cake, and a Cappuccino, and the experience was nothing short of amazing. The Lotus Banana Pudding was a delightful twist on Magnolia’s world-famous banana pudding. The creamy vanilla pudding, layered with fresh banana slices and soft Nilla wafers, was elevated by the rich, caramel-like flavor of Lotus Biscoff. The Lotus cookie crumbs sprinkled on top added a satisfying crunch, perfectly complementing the smooth, velvety texture. It was just the right balance of sweet and decadent, making it a must-try for Biscoff lovers. The Chocolate Cup Pudding was a chocolate lover’s dream. This rich, refreshingly light dessert featured a silky chocolate pudding base topped with clouds of whipped cream and delicate chocolate shavings. The balance of intense cocoa flavor and airy cream made each spoonful indulgent yet not overwhelming, served in a convenient cup that’s perfect for savoring on the go. The Lotus Slice Cake was a showstopper. This moist, fluffy cake was infused with the unmistakable caramelized flavor of Lotus Biscoff, topped with a smooth layer of Lotus buttercream. The texture was spot-on, with the cake being light yet rich, and the buttercream adding a creamy sweetness that paired beautifully with the subtle spice of the Biscoff. It was a perfect treat for sharing—or not[Image] The Cappuccino was a fantastic companion to the desserts. Made with Illy coffee, it featured a rich espresso base topped with steamed milk and a thin layer of micro-foam, dusted with chocolate powder. The coffee was robust yet smooth, cutting through the sweetness of the desserts and rounding out the experience beautifully. The ambiance at Magnolia Bakery is charming, with a cozy, vintage vibe that reflects its New York roots. The staff were friendly and efficient, ensuring quick service despite the busy atmosphere. The desserts were presented beautifully, with the puddings served in cute cups and the cake slice elegantly plated. At an estimated 50-60 AED for the order, the price felt reasonable for the quality and portion size, especially given the premium location and ingredients. Overall, Magnolia Bakery at The Galleria Mall is a dessert lover’s paradise. The Lotus Banana Pudding, Chocolate Cup Pudding, Lotus Slice Cake, and Cappuccino were a perfect blend of classic and innovative flavors, making this visit unforgettable. Whether you’re a fan of their iconic banana pudding or craving a coffee fix, this spot delivers an exceptional experience. I’ll be...
Read moreThree days ago, I visited your branch at Galleria Mall to try the promotional 5 AED Banana Pudding. Initially, I purchased just one cup to try it, and I really enjoyed it. Because of how good it was, I went back later in the day to buy another one.
In the evening, I recommended the pudding to my husband and told him how delicious it was. Excited to try it, he asked for a spoon at the counter so he could eat it right away. Unfortunately, our experience was spoiled by your staff member named Sadiq.
When my husband requested a spoon, Sadiq refused to give one, stating that since the pudding was a promotion item, no spoon was included. However, I had already received a spoon earlier in the day from another staff member when I made the same purchase. On top of that, we clearly saw other customers receiving spoons for the same promotional item at that very moment.
When I personally approached Sadiq to clarify, instead of apologizing or acknowledging the inconsistency, he continued to insist that spoons were not provided with the promotional item. His tone and attitude were dismissive and unprofessional.
This situation was disappointing not because of the spoon itself but because of the way we were treated. Regardless of the price of the item, every customer deserves to be treated with fairness and respect. It was upsetting to see selective treatment being given to customers. We simply wanted to enjoy the pudding after a long, tiring day, but the behavior of your staff completely ruined the experience for us.
I hope you take this feedback seriously and address the issue with your team, especially with Sadiq, so that other customers don’t have to face similar treatment in the future.
Thank you for...
Read moreA friend of mine suggested we eat here, when I was visiting Abu Dhabi last.
Service was pathetic from the minute we walked in. But I was famished and I ordered my lunch, nevertheless. Ordered the Chicken Scalopinni. When this arrived, the quantity was a joke. Especially compared to the photo they've put on their menu. For AED 69, it was a real disappointment. The leaves used in the salad were not fresh, some of them tasted spoilt. And the chicken was average. To be honest, I could've ordered deep fried breaded chicken from a small cafeteria outside and poured some melted cheese on it and it would have tasted better... And would have been cheaper. The photos I took are zoomed in so they may appear bigger, but honestly they were like two slightly bigger Mc Donald's chicken nuggets with cheese. And they served me the dish and I had to wait for about 10-15 mins for the cutlery. Finally got the cutlery after reminding them twice.
Something similar happened when my friend ordered coffee. There were packets of sugar on our table when we had arrived and it was taken off our table when we weren't looking. Fair enough. But then we asked it (again, twice) and finally got it but without a tea spoon!
I would completely understand if a place was new and short staffed, but that wasn't the case here.
Yes, their banana pudding is delicious but that definitely isn't good enough for...
