Al Baik — Restaurant in Dubai

I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and frustration with the service I received at your Satwa branch. As a tourist, I visited your restaurant, which was conveniently located near my hotel, Chelsea Hotel. After waiting in line for 10 minutes, I was shocked when the counter staff refused to accept my cash payment of 500 AED, citing that they didn't have change. When I requested them to check again, the staff member became uncooperative and rude. Another staff member, who appeared to be of Nepali origin, intervened and spoke to me in a condescending manner. What I found even more appalling was when the manager backed up the staff's decision, stating that they couldn't provide me with food because they didn't have change. I was taken aback by their lack of empathy and understanding. Unfortunately, I felt that I was subjected to racist behavior by the staff, which made my experience even more unpleasant. As a result, I am extremely disappointed with Al Baik and will not be visiting again. I will also not recommend your restaurant to anyone. I usually dont post such reviews, but. This place was not al baik. It has tainted my memory of al vaik so much so that i didn't feel like going to al baik again. They had rubbery chicken where the bun appeared old and was breaking away. I have visited more than 8 branches of Al baik across the GCC, but this branch was by far the most in competent branch. I have had the food twice to check if the taste was bad, just omce . Howevwr to my dismay, the quality was really deteriorated, not only as per my views but also from the views of the peers for whom i bought the dinner and took it as parcel. The only good thing was the shrimp. The rest of the food appeared to have been made from the leftover material of the Dubai Mall branch or any other branch for that matter. Oh and the seating space is too less and you have to stand up at the side to find a place to sit and eat. A total of only 12 seats are available with around 5/6 tables.

Today on 15th August 2025, @ 1.45 AM , I happened to visit Al Baik, Satwa Diyafa branch. Once after placing the order , I told them , I need to dine in and one lasy lady without talking anything, just by a hand guesture , pointed outwards and got back to her work which she was busy with. ( not something she must do while working hours - talking personal matter's with another employee). I sat where she pointed and was eagerly waiting for the food, Dine in - just 1 customer, myself. Online orders 2 or 3 maximum delivery riders... Approximately 7 staffs , 2 men and that that Filipino lady , talking the same matter about their colleagues- inside I don't wat they were doing.... I sat patiently- until 2.15 AM

One guy from inside, came since i gave an eye contact, from where they kept my food. Instead of serving it , he gave a major information , KINDLY COLLECT YOUR FOOD.. SERIOUSLY....NEVER HAD ANY WORSE...
