Avoid NIHAO in Al-Wasl Jumerah, Al-Sattwa – A Complete Disappointment
I recently visited Nihao in the Al-wasl area near Al-Sattwa, Dubai, expecting a good hotpot experience. Since I was alone and not interested in BBQ, I specifically asked if they had a normal hotpot buffet. They told me that the hotpot + BBQ option costs 60 AED, but if I opted for a plain buffet, it would be 40 AED. I chose the buffet, but what I encountered was beyond disappointing.
Despite seeing multiple containers of food, there were virtually no options worth eating. Here’s what was available:
13–14 containers of food, but the choices were misleading.
Four containers just had different types of noodles & rice, with barely any non-veg options.
2 types of rice, all undercooked and tasteless.
Only one type of spring roll as a starter.
A couple of basic dishes, but nothing substantial or worth eating. No mutton available, and only 2 veg salads
The taste was so bad that I could only eat some salad.
I paid 40 AED for a buffet that had almost nothing edible. It was an absolute waste of money. On top of that, if this is the quality of their cooked food, I can't even imagine how their BBQ and hotpot might taste.
If you're looking for a decent hotpot or buffet experience in Dubai, avoid Nihao. There are far better options out there. This was one of the worst dining experiences I've had.

Looking from an outside perspective, the restaurant appears amazing, but once inside, it becomes quite disappointing specially for family.
They offer a limited selection of dishes for the all-you-can-eat option. I only noticed two main dishes: beef and tofu. The spring rolls and other fried items were served cold and no longer appetizing. The siomai was still hard and had the texture of being frozen. The sushi lacked appeal and seemed old, wasabi is not available; I couldn't even finish a single piece.
Additionally, they only provided one cup of soft drink and served room temperature water. The quality of the menu items matched the price paid, which was unappetizing. Personally, this is not the kind of place I would choose to dine in. They should improve their menu offerings and presentation to better satisfy their customers.
With competition around, they should step up their game to match or surpass their competitors...

But suddenly this lady when we're talking to her, she's like not in the mood and like angry to entertain us and we asked her "can we have some discount, coz me and my company team were having a dinner date?" and she replied "why we will give you discount and it's already late you will make us over time!". -she reply in rude way., so me and my friends we're very disappointed for what she acts.. .. .
-a professional business should be always taking care of your customers, the owner must watch and train the staff on how to treat customers, right and humble communication or else your business will start to fall because of this...
