ROTTEN FOOD!!!!!!!!!
imma yap a little too much but trust me when i say you dont wanna go to this resturant ever again and read the entire thing if you still wanna know why
i went to the resturant last night on january 1st, 2025, at dinner time with the family, we thought the resturant would be a good choice to have dinner for new years. But boy were we wrong. Everything started out well, we ordered our food -- (2 chicken escalopes, 2 salads, lentil soup, 1 chicken with thyme and mushroom, 1 mashawi mix), everything was going great until we encountered 3 major red flags
1st red flag: everybody makes mistakes, and i dont wanna consider this a red flag but i will, they brought us vine leaves, even though we never ordered vine leaves and we informed them that we didnt, so they removed the dish. and when the bill came later, they still included the vine leaves.... but we caught it in the bill and asked them to remove it and they did
2nd red flag AND THE BIGGEST ONE : as i was eating my chicken escalope which apparently was supposed to taste like chicken and not carboard with some breadcrumbs, i got to the part of my plate which had steamed veggies, i reach for the carrot, and as im chewing it, i get this horrible and rotten taste from the carrot. I immedietly spit it out and put it into a tissue, and call someone to inform them that they may have been overusing their carrots a bit much or something? The manager comes, takes the rest of the carrots off of my plate, he even takes the tissue i spat the carrot in, and takes off. He comes back after a min and apologizes and says the most BS excuse ive heard in my life; "the carrots have been over steamed, which lead it to have this off taste, and we were supposed to butter it up before serving it to you but it seems the kitchen have forgotten to do so" uhm, ok? im not gordon ramsey, i may not be a chef, but i know that if u oversteam ur carrots or veggies, THEY DONT BECOME ROTTEN. and you know what? i didnt shutup, i told him that the excuse doesnt make sense, but he kept talking and yapping making excuses.
3rd red flag: i honestly became sick to my stomach after tasting that rotten carrot, and i just told them i wanted my food to go. so we all decided to take everything to go. now in my plate, i had a whole chicken escalope left with fries, my brother who ordered the same thing didnt touch anything but his fries, so he had his fries left with his 2 chicken escalopes and his veggies, my father who ordered mashawi mix (which came in super late) he decided that before the waiter even puts the plate on the table, he told him to put it as to-go (takeaway), and my mother took her chicken with thyme and mushroom to go as well. TELL ME WHY I ARRIVE HOME, OPEN THE CONTAINER AND ALL I SEE IS JUST 3 PIECES OF CHICKEN ESCALOPES????????????? WHERE R MY FRIES AND VEGGIES? listen im not gonna be petty over pieces of french fries and a couple of rotten veggies, i mean cmon! BUT ive had enough of their bs. and the worst thing, my fathers food , mashawi mix, it seemed missing, it didnt seem like this was the full thing from what we saw on the plate.
do you not feed ur employees well that they lowkey have to take our food or something? what kind of a resturant is this??? never in my life have i dealt with such unprofessionalism and utter disrespect.
never coming back, i wasted my money and my time, and the fuel i used on my car...

We recently organized a work gathering for Iftar at Baranda Lebanese Restaurant near Irish Village, and what started as a promising tradition quickly turned into a nightmare. The restaurant's lack of professionalism and unethical behavior left a sour taste in our mouths.
Despite informing the restaurant that we would have a maximum of 65 guests, they provided a quote based on this number. When only 53 guests showed up, they still charged us for 58 people, along with an additional 57 items of tea and coffee. It was clear they were trying to exploit the situation to make extra money. To make matters worse, when our company PA tried to address the discrepancies, she was met with rudeness and disrespect, especially because she was not an Arabic speaker. The staff made it seem like they were doing us a favor by reducing the charges for tea and coffee to 38 items, which was still unjustified.
Furthermore, despite the fact that the price per person included shisha, only a few individuals in our group opted for it which was a maximum of 10 shishas. We were promised that those who did not smoke shisha could have a complimentary tea or coffee instead. However, we were still charged for additional drinks, even though the majority of the group did not consume any shisha.
The food quality was subpar, resembling a cheap buffet, and the staff's attitude was appalling. It is evident that the lack of ethics and professionalism in the management reflects on the entire establishment.
In conclusion, I strongly advise against dining at Baranda Lebanese Restaurant near Irish Village. Their dishonest practices and disrespectful behavior towards customers make it a regrettable choice, especially during the holy...
Read moreI had the pleasure of dining at an extraordinary establishment that left me in awe of its impeccable food, captivating ambiance, and exceptional service.
The first thing that struck me was the ambiance. The restaurant's outdoor design was a perfect blend of elegance and comfort, you can imagine yourself in the midst of nature with dimmed lighting, tasteful decor, and cozy seating arrangements created an intimate and inviting atmosphere. The flavour of the food are incredibly delicious. I had couple of starters and mixed grill.
What made the experience even more remarkable was the entertainment provided. Throughout the evening, live musicians filled the air with beautiful melodies, adding a touch of magic to the already enchanting ambiance. Their talented performances complemented the dining experience perfectly, creating an atmosphere that was both lively and refined. Beyond the extraordinary food and ambiance, the staff were the true stars of the evening. Their warmth, attentiveness, and genuine care for each guest created an environment that felt like being among friends. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with genuine smiles and promptly seated. The waitstaff were knowledgeable and passionate about the menu, offering insightful recommendations and ensuring every request was met with enthusiasm. Their attention to detail and willingness to go above and beyond to make the evening memorable was truly commendable. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply looking for an unforgettable dining experience, this hidden gem is a must-visit. I highly...
