We booked this hotel because of the proximity to the airport as one of us had to be at the airport for 4:30am and because they said airport shuttle was available for drop off. Room was ok with all the amenities although the hotel looked mostly empty. We would definitely not be staying here ever again because: - service was extremely slow, we had to keep calling and still waited over 1 hour for them to bring extra duvet (room booked was for 3 people; 2 on bed, 1 on sofabed but they obviously didn't plan for a duvet for that) - the TV kept turning itself on every 15minutes which made sleeping very difficult. We couldn't find the socket to turn it off permanently. So we literally didn't get any sleep before our flight. - one of us had to book a taxi to the airport which defeated the purpose of choosing the hotel in the first place. - it's a self service hotel which means no one to help with your luggage. But this wasn't stated on the booking. Between the 3 of us that checked in we had a total of 7 boxes. Imagine us struggling to get them in the elevator while checking in and checking out. The person at the door just stood and watched like she couldn't be bothered. It's totally ridiculous! - the first person, a lady we saw at the entrance on arrival was so rude and wouldn't even lift a finger to help out. She just stood there and said you have to carry your luggage yourself I can't help you. The tone was a total turn off. The only good thing was that we were allowed to check in immediately we arrived instead of waiting till 2pm as stated. The lady at the reception was very friendly and helpful. We didn't get to eat breakfast or try out their half board which was what we booked because of our tight schedule. Never again!

Disappointed and Humiliated Despite Being a Loyal Marriott Guest As a Marriott Titanium member and Google Local Guide Level 9, I’ve stayed at countless hotels around the world and frequently share detailed reviews and photos of my experiences to help other travelers. During my recent stay, everything was going smoothly, until my final day, when things took an unexpectedly disturbing turn. I was casually taking photos of the property (as I always do before leaving any place I enjoyed), when a staff member at the lobby asked if I needed help, who turned out to be front manager Mr Nader. I said "no, thank you" and continued taking photos. Moments later, while driving out of the basement parking, I was suddenly stopped by a running security guard who acted as if I were a criminal, demanding to know who I was, why I was there, and why I took photos. I explained that I was a guest, gave my room number, and told the security I would return shortly to speak with the duty manager to clarify if I had done something wrong. Upon return, I met Mr. Nader (Front Office Manager) and the Head of Security, who confirmed that taking photos is actually allowed, and that what the security guard told me was incorrect. They explained it was for “security reasons,” but frankly, the approach was accusatory, humiliating, and unacceptable, especially for a loyal Marriott guest. I left the hotel feeling offended, judged, and treated like a suspect, not a guest. What should have been a normal check-out turned into an unpleasant memory I won't forget. Marriott properties are known for hospitality and professionalism, but this hotel severely missed that mark. Sadly, I cannot recommend this location, and I’ll be rethinking future stays.

According to the reviews I expected a top hotel but Aloft didn’t fully meet my expectations for following reasons: The bathroom is not well maintained, making the hotel seems much much older than it is. Not very appealing. Also, the shower pressure is so bad and it takes ten mins to get hot water. Stains and smells on bathrobe. Couldn’t wear it. Reception area has hostels vibes with heavy perfume smell, loud music and mostly men playing and working. There is a strange tourist shops with weird mannequin sitting, it’s giving creepy vibes. The light situation in the room is disappointing. There is a desk and standing lamp but you cannot operate them without having the big ceiling lights on, which defeats the purpose of having small light sources. Bar and restaurant was closed and staff advised me to visit restaurants and bar att he Le Meriden hotel opposite. Some good things: Size of bathroom even if not well maintained Big, comfortable bed. Free drop off shuttle. I was torn between booking premier inn and Aloft and ended up booking Aloft as it seemed new, modern and big with restaurant options. However, this wasn’t the case and I wish I had gone with premier inn instead where I could have gotten a free pick up and drop off shuttle.

My recent stay(20-4-2023 to 25-4-2023) at Aloft Dubai Airport Hotel left me deeply disappointed, particularly when it came to their breakfast buffet. As an avid traveler, I have had the pleasure of experiencing breakfast buffets in various destinations, including the charming small hotels in Bali, which set the bar high for a truly satisfying morning meal. Unfortunately, Aloft Dubai Hotel failed to deliver on multiple fronts.

First and foremost, the variety of food options at the breakfast buffet was shockingly limited. Compared to the abundant choices I encountered at the small hotels in Bali, Aloft Dubai's spread felt sparse and uninspired. While the Bali hotels presented a plethora of fresh fruits, local delicacies, and made-to-order items, Aloft Dubai's selection consisted mainly of pre-packaged and generic-looking dishes that lacked any authentic flavor.

Moreover, the quality of the food at Aloft Dubai was far from satisfactory. The breakfast items appeared lackluster and unappealing, often displaying signs of being reheated or sitting out for prolonged periods. In stark contrast, the small hotels in Bali offered a delightful array of flavorsome treats made from local, organic ingredients, exuding freshness and authenticity.

Furthermore, the overall presentation and ambiance of Aloft Dubai's breakfast area left much to be desired. The atmosphere lacked warmth and character, with a sterile and impersonal setting that failed to create a welcoming dining experience. In Bali's small hotels, however, I was greeted by intimate, picturesque dining spaces that embraced the local culture, immersing me in the unique charm of the destination from the moment I stepped foot in the breakfast area.

The service at Aloft Dubai Hotel during breakfast was also lackluster. Staff members seemed disinterested and indifferent, providing minimal assistance and rarely going the extra mile to ensure guest satisfaction. In Bali's small hotels, on the other hand, the staff treated guests with genuine warmth and attentiveness, making the dining experience a delight in itself.

Overall, my breakfast experience at Aloft Dubai Hotel fell far short of my expectations, especially when compared to the exceptional breakfast buffets offered by the small hotels in Bali. From the lack of variety and poor food quality to the uninspiring presentation and lackluster service, Aloft Dubai Hotel's breakfast buffet failed to capture the essence of a truly enjoyable morning meal. If you value a satisfying and memorable breakfast experience, I would strongly recommend exploring other options that can provide a more authentic and fulfilling start to your...

Extremely Disappointing Stay – Worst Aloft Experience Ever

We stayed at Aloft Hotel Dubai Airport on June 7, 2025, and booked multiple rooms (256, 257, 258, 259) expecting a relaxing and enjoyable experience. What we got instead was the complete opposite — a series of disappointments that absolutely ruined our impression of the entire Aloft brand.

Wrong Room Given – Misleading Photos: The room given to us was nothing like the one in the photos. We felt misled and disappointed the moment we walked in. What we booked and what we got were two completely different things.

Disgraceful Dinner Buffet: We paid for a dinner buffet expecting a decent variety. To our shock, there were only four viands, and the food quality was poor and cafeteria-level. No options, no taste — we could’ve had a better meal at a roadside diner. It felt like a scam.

Unready and Poorly Prepared Rooms: Check-in was at 2:00 PM. We arrived on time — but the rooms were still being cleaned at 2:30 PM. Towels were thrown together haphazardly. It was clear the staff rushed everything without care. The level of preparation was unprofessional and unacceptable.

Unprofessional and Rude Receptionist: The receptionist at the front desk (a Filipina lady) was extremely rude, cold, and unwelcoming. Not a single smile, no warmth, and zero professionalism. After a long trip, this is the last kind of treatment any guest deserves. She made us feel like a burden instead of valued customers.

We came hoping to unwind and enjoy our weekend, but Aloft Dubai Airport made sure it was a stressful, frustrating, and upsetting experience. We've stayed at other Aloft locations, but this was by far the worst branch ever.

We expect a formal apology and compensation for this horrendous experience. We had high hopes, but this stay has completely shattered our trust in your brand. If you care at all about your reputation, this kind of guest treatment must not...
