Makan Restaurant — Restaurant in Dubai

I booked this restaurant for my anniversary celebration with my friend and their family after seeing the reviews on ENTERTAINER app (4.3 stars) and google reviews. This restaurant is wrongly categorized as PREMIUM dining, whereas it is far far away from the word premium. The restaurant has spoiled the whole evening and just ruined the special day which comes once in a year. I called the restaurant 1 day before to enquire about vegetarian menu and they confirmed that it is a International CUISINE so Veg (indian) options are available, I further requested to add few more vegetarian options which they agree to add. I just disappointed just after entering the SO CALLED premium dining restaurant which is made in a small tiny hall with very few eating options. Upon enquiring about my request for Veg options, the staff was totally clueless, Chef responded that we do not have more Indian Veg options except 1 starter and 2 main course. Above all, restaurant told me that outside cake is not allowed and they will provide a complementary cake for anniversary celebration, you wont believe, they did not even show us the cake, leave the celebration aside. We just filled our tummy with few starter, Hummus, arabic bread and some desserts. And we left without having the main course. Shamelessly, the restaurant charged us the full amount despite of creating a total disaster. My suggestion is to just RUN AWAY from the place when you heard the name...

Today i had the unfortunate experience of dining at the Makan movenpick dinner buffet, and I must say, it was one of the most disappointing meals I've ever had. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the lack of freshness in the food. The dishes looked tired and unappetizing, and the smell was far from inviting.

The selection was underwhelming, with many items appearing to be leftovers from previous days.. Even the salads were wilted and unappealing, lacking any vibrant colors or freshness.

Overall, I left Makan Movinpik feeling disappointed and unsatisfied. I had high hopes for a delightful buffet experience, but instead, I was met with food that was far from fresh and a service that failed to impress.
