We recently stayed at Le Méridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre and had a truly mixed experience.

Starting with the positives, the breakfast buffet was exceptional. There was a wide variety of fresh options, and the service in the dining area was consistently attentive and friendly. The most appreciated service, however, came from the room service personnel and the team that assisted with our luggage. They were extremely courteous, professional, and always went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. Their warm demeanor and willingness to help stood out and were truly the highlight of our stay.

The manager on duty was also kind enough to allow us to check in earlier than our reserved time at no extra cost. This gesture was appreciated, especially since the front desk had initially asked us to pay an additional fee, despite my prior request for early check-in.

Unfortunately, the condition of the room and overall guest experience were deeply disappointing. We had specifically requested a non-smoking room, as we were traveling with a toddler and do not smoke. The room we received smelled strongly of cigarette smoke and mold. The couch pillows were stained and visibly dirty, there was no shower gel in the bathroom, and the ceiling began leaking within an hour of check-in.

Although the staff assured us they would move us to a new room, the process was unreasonably delayed. We had to follow up multiple times and eventually had to leave for an appointment before anything was done. Our luggage was only moved after we had left the hotel. Prior to that, we asked to see the new room, but it was in even worse condition, with an overpowering cigarette odor. We declined that room, and only then were we moved to one that was slightly better.

Despite these major inconveniences, no compensation or upgrade was offered, and no real acknowledgment of the experience was made. For a hotel of this caliber, the lack of accountability and customer care was disappointing.

At checkout, we had requested luggage pick-up and a taxi. Once again, no one arrived until we went down to the reception ourselves to remind them.

We also had trouble getting milk for our toddler. It took over 30 minutes, and what arrived was coffee creamer instead. When I called back to explain, the staff member who answered was dismissive and told me I should have called the restaurant directly. I would have happily done so if I had been informed properly from the start.

In summary, while certain team members truly delivered excellent service—particularly the room service staff and luggage attendants—the poor room conditions, delays, and dismissive attitude from the front desk made our stay stressful and far from the relaxing experience we had hoped for. Dining: The dining options at Le Méridien are vast and diverse. I had the pleasure of dining at several of their on-site restaurants, and each one was excellent. From the breakfast buffet at Yalumba, which had an impressive selection of both local and international dishes, to the fine dining experience at Maya Mexican Kitchen & Bar, the food was consistently top-notch. Room service was also prompt, and the dishes were just as delicious.

Service: The staff at Le Méridien went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. Whether it was the concierge helping me organize excursions or the housekeeping team ensuring my room was always immaculate, the service was impeccable. Every request was met with a smile, and the staff’s willingness to go the extra mile really stood out.

Location: The hotel's location is very convenient, just a short drive from the Dubai International Airport. Despite being near the airport, the hotel felt like a peaceful retreat with its sprawling gardens and quiet ambiance. It’s also well-connected to key parts of the city, making it easy to get around.

Value for Money: For the level of luxury and service provided, Le Méridien offers incredible value. The rooms, amenities, and dining experiences all lived up to the 5-star reputation. It’s a fantastic choice for both business and leisure travelers.
