Cafe Bateel - Emaar Square, Abu Dhabi — Restaurant in Dubai

I am conflicted when writing a review for Cafe Bateel as I have to take many things into consideration. First let me start by saying that I frequent Cafe Bateel in Emaar Square quite a bit as I work very close by. In this location I have had the GRILLED SALMON & QUINOA, the THREE CHEESE RIGATONI, and the MUSHROOM RISOTTO and the only one I would eat again is the salmon.

1- THREE CHEESE RIGATONI For the price of this dish at AED 54 and the description in the menu, I had very high hopes of eating an amazing pasta dish. Unfortunately, reality was much different. The dish was bland, the sauce was dry, and the pasta was undercooked. On top of that, the portion was quite small. It was a very underwhelming experience and as a true pasta lover, I was expecting a lot more from Cafe Bateel.

2- MUSHROOM RISOTTO The mushroom risotto was not bad. It was quite delicious actually. But, again, given the high price of the dish at AED 61, I probably wouldn't order it again.

3- GRILLED SALMON & QUINOA The grilled salmon & quinoa dish at Cafe Bateel was absolutely delicious! I didn't leave one bite! The quinoa was cooked to perfection, the salmon had a gorgeous glaze on the outside, and a soft and juicy inside. My only negative review on this dish was that it is quite plain, especially given the AED 99 price. There was nothing that made it standout! I would order this dish again at Cafe Bateel, but it is not a dish I would specifically choose this restaurant for.

Food is good but service in outside seating area is almost always bad .. wanted to make an additional order with my meal no waiter comes to check on outsose clienf for full 20 mins, when I got up.to get waiters attention there were already birds pecking at my food as I had to leave it unattended.. Staff unegaged and aloof at I had lunch at 3 pm.when resturant is practically empty yet with all.staff on board no attention given .. best to close outside seating if staff arent trained to handle
