I have always loved the vibe of pool side brunches but do feel that I am no longer able to do justice to lavish buffet spreads.
After a long (COVID) break, I decided to try the recently launched Friday Poolside Brunch at “The Restaurant” in Address Skyview last weekend. One of the newer Address properties. The hotel is just lovely with beautiful interiors. Valet Parking is available at the property for hotel guests and diners. “The Restaurant” is towards the back overlooking the pool.
They have both indoor and outdoor seating available. As it does get hot outdoors, the seating area is shaded and semi-enclosed with air-conditioners and coolers available. The pool side overlooks the Burj Khalifa and the general vibe of the place is quite chilled out and laid back. Shisha is available outdoors as well.
Due to COVID SOPs in place, the brunch is a set menu served at your table. Our server Akash was pleasant and walked us through the drinks menu and got us settled. The Set Menu is a lavish spread across cold starters, hot starters, mains, and dessert with good options of Seafood, Tacos, Burgers, Sushi, etc – a little something for everyone. I personally loved the Thai Beef Salad, The Short Rib Bao Buns, Sushi selection and Sliders. My husband being a fan of Seafood loved the Prawn Salad and Sushi.
The highlight of the meal for me is surely the Desserts. Served in a Bento Box with a selection of unique offerings not commonly found elsewhere. From over-sized pistachio macaroons to home-made coconut ice cream to an apricot meringue- everything was just amazing.
Notable mention, do try out this drink called Double Trouble, if you are a mango lover. Its Mango Coconut Slushie that I...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Address Sky, and I must say that it was an absolutely magical experience. From the moment I walked in, I was mesmerized by the beautiful ambiance and charming atmosphere of the restaurant.
The service at Address Sky was impeccable, thanks to the wonderful server, Manlin. Manlin went out of her way to ensure that every detail of our dining experience was taken care of. She greeted us with a warm smile, made us feel welcome, and patiently answered all of our questions about the menu. Manlin’s knowledge and enthusiasm for the cuisine was evident, and his recommendations were spot on.
Throughout the meal, Manlin provided attentive and professional service. He checked on us regularly, making sure our glasses were refilled and that we had everything we needed to enjoy our dining experience to the fullest. His friendly demeanor and genuine interest in our satisfaction added a personal touch to our evening. Manlin went the extra mile to accommodate our requests and make us feel like valued guests.
Now, let’s talk about the food. The menu offered an exquisite array of dishes, each one a culinary masterpiece. The flavours were expertly crafted, and the presentation was stunning. From appetizers to breakfast, every bite was an explosion of flavour. The attention to detail and use of high quality ingredients truly showcased the skill and creativity of the chefs.
The ambiance of the restaurant was like a fairy tale. The elegant decor, dim lighting and comfortable seating arrangements created a warm and inviting atmosphere. The attention to detail in the design...
Read moreOur first ever “Friday Brunch” in Dubai with the Poolside brunch with views on Burj Khalifa while having a 4 course meal with free flowing drinks for 4h; what more could I ask for. A few things: if you want to swim and get a nice pool side spot, arrive not after 1pm (you can arrive from 10am, we were second to arrive at noon). Secondly don’t be last to order your food as you may wait longer then. You can either eat at the pool or inside or outside, wherever you want. Thirdly, the amount of food is excessive but there is nothing you can do about it, we were almost full already after round 1. Brunch without booze will set you back 325 AED (or 65£). They provide towels, changing rooms, etc. No dress code needed. Please note the pool is the one on the 3rd floor of the building which is kind of the ground floor as its next to the entrance. This is NOT brunch at Ce La Vie on the 53rd floor. Having said that we went to Ce La Vie around 4:30/5pm for sunset after our brunch to take some scenic photos. Would recommend and return. Good value for money especially if you want pool...
