Great in the UK so i visited here knowing it was a safe option for coeliacs there but this place has no idea what’s going on for allergies. They have an allergen book but not including all dishes on their menu, and staff have no knowledge of allergens and or basic knowledge of what their food is. I asked if the sauce in a dish was gluten free and had 2 waitresses tell me i cannot have it because it contains soya and nuts, what has this got to do with gluten? I then asked for a manager thinking he could help but instead had the manager tells me that rice in this dish is made of flour (??), this already is a red flag and to add more confusion to this, their allergen book clearly states it had no gluten in it. When i asked for clarification on this, the manager said that apparently this allergen book is incorrect despite being ‘thoroughly checked by 5-6 managers’ - how does that make sense? After this several back and forths with him, he checked with the chef, and came back to tell me he can ‘successfully take the gluten out of the rice so it is now gluten free’ - no apology for the confusion or being wrong. Anyway, my original question of wether the sauce in this dish was gluten free was not answered and he brought another woman (did not explain who she was) and she then tells me she does not recommend for me to have the rice because both the rice and spices contain gluten! And to instead go with a safe option which she can ‘guarantee as gluten free such as sweet potato fries’, i explained to her how rice is a safe gf and fries are definitely not, and asked why they are giving customers an allergy book which is incorrect to which she responded ‘do you want this meal or not’. Absolutely appalling service and unnecessary hassle and inconvenience. Basic knowledge and consistency is 100% needed to be...
Read moreFood and Exceptional Service at Nando's! Our recent visit to Nando's at Dubai Marina Walk was nothing short of outstanding! As we were walking down the Marina Walk, looking a place to eat, my family was greeted by Mr. Anil Rafiq who convinced us Nando's. He was incredibly attentive, friendly, and eager to assist, making the entire experience smooth and enjoyable.
The food, unexpectedly, was absolutely delicious. The Creamy Cashew Chicken & spicy rice + 1 regular side, Espetada Lime Luse + 2 regular sides which my which my family ordered, perfectly cooked, juicy, and bursting with flavor. As I am a vegetarian, to my surprise they have excellent choice & was suggested by Anil to order a Creamy Cashew Veg with Spicy Rice. Seriously, it was mouthwatering, unbelievable but true. A suggestion, Nando's should also add more variety of veg on the menu for the vegetarians.
The wide range of sauces allowed us to each bite to our preference, from mild to extra hot, which was a fun touch! The sides, especially the fried sweet potatoes nd coleslaw, complemented the meal perfectly.
The cool windy weather, vibrant and upbeat atmosphere added to the experience, making it a great spot for both casual meals and special occasions. Everything was well-organized, clean, and inviting – a testament to Nando's excellent standard.
A personal thank you to the Manager Mr. Piyush who walked up to our table to over see if all was up to our satisfaction. Last but not the least a BIG Thank You to the staff namely Mr. Anil, Sadiq and all who were there on duty.
Highly recommended & we can't wait to come back for more...
Read moreThe PRO's: Nice view on the harbor. Thought waiter Sunny was really friendly and inviting. If you order a tea you get a can with is enough voor 2 cups.
The improvements: -The price for still water. Not sure how much you get for that. 2 liters? 😅 Tip: Please don't put the teabag already in the water and then first start serving other guests. When it arrives, the tea could/is already too strong. Let guest determine themselves how strong they want the tea and serve the bag besides the cup. Tip: The Peritato side is the potato wedges with sauce. On the menu photo the sauce is served separately. But the 'crispy' fries potato wedges came already completely mixed with the sauce. You need to eat them immediately and fast because else the potatoes become of course soggy. But you also don't want to have your main dish get cold. So tried to eat both, but as you can see from my photo, it's really a lot of sauce drowning the wedges that quickly became soggy and lost their crispness. A shame, because the fist few were good. Would serve the sauce separately, like on the photo in the menu. On my photo you can see how many sauce it is mixed with. Not sure who is excited about soggy...
