To all French Cheese Amateurs, I went last Monday to try the newly launched Cheese and Grape night at Pierre’s Bistro & Bar located at the Intercontinental Hotel at Dubai Festival City. The concept of Pierre’s Bistro & Bar is creatively handcrafted to create joyful and appetizing nightlife experiences in an ambiance infused with the breezy elegance and relaxed charm by three starred Chef Pierre Gagnaire represents a new chapter for the inimitable. The Cheese at Pierre’s Bistro & Bar is not served on the traditional way like you eat it at home or in other restaurants. Chef Pierre Gagnaire wanted to do something exceptional and he preferred to offer cheese that has been prepared, a creativity with cheese, I cannot find a proper term to translate it to English. But in French, we say: Chef Pierre a préféré offrir du fromage travaillé pour vous permettre d’avoir une nouvelle experience. Here are the details about it: A plate of premium cheese accompanied by a glass of grape. AED 100 cheese platter only AED 125 cheese platter with a glass of grape Every Monday from 6:30 pm to 11:00 pm Nothing better than freshly baked baguette with several types of other bread and butter. They offered us to start with 2 different appetisers before we start the cheese experience. The Tuna Tataki was divine… From the first bite, a blast of flavours will spread in your mouth… The Arancini Croquette was so delicious. Make sure to eat it as soon as it is served as it is hot. When they brought them to us, we were wondering what is the black thing below them. I looked liked plant soil 😉 We asked the waiter and he told us that it is bread crumbs infused with squid ink. This is what I call creativity! Let us start with the cheese experience! From top right, then below it, then on its right and then on top left: 36 months old Comte Cheese with White Chocolate Mikado Parsley Saint-Maure Goats Cheese with Redcurrant Jelly Mont d’Or Cromesquis Auvergne Blue Cheese Mousseline with Date Veil Each one a different flavour, a different experience! In French, we say: Un Gout raffiné! And in English: A refined taste 😃 The Truffle Brie with Lamb salad was exceptional. The Morbier Melba Toast was in a very thin toast. It should be eaten immediately to enjoy the taste of the hot Morbier Cheese. So tasty! To all Cheese Lovers, Cheese Fans, Cheese Fans and of course French Cuisine lovers, I very highly recommend you to try the Cheese & Grape night and the rest of Chef Pierre Gagnaire menu of Pierre’s...

I missed the restaurant opening as I was on a trip to India but called to reserve a table a few weeks later, curious to see the turnout. Guess what? It all turned out pretty well! With a separate entrance on the side of the Intercontinental Hotel, dedicated team of three on arrival to ensure guests reach the destination happily and a very elegant interior design worth a fortune, the Pierre’s Bistro is fancier than it sounds. Playing “un petit truc” with the word “bistro” referring to a casual eatery with a simple menu, Pierrre Gagnaire delivers the opposite: fine dining with the most delicious French cuisine.

A wonderful mix of bright and soft interior colours sets an appropriate mood for various areas: exotic lush green lounge with DJ booth, energetic bar sparkling with reflections, spotless chrome kitchen with one transparent wall shared with a hall, lovely terrace and less dramatic but still eccentric salon with macaroon like chairs, cheeky paintings and soft light. I loved that on top of smoking/non smoking or inside/outside tables there were options for “intimate dining” and “the centre of attention”. As the weather chose to be kind that night, I sat on a very comfortable sofa outside facing the fountains and a promenade.

My dinner started with a warm baguette baked “en ce moment” and served in a branded paper bag. Crispy on outside, the baguette was so airy and fantastically fragrant; that I couldn’t help but eat it all with the beautiful salted French butter. I ordered my all time favourite frog legs with garlic and parsley cooked to such perfection they melt on a tongue. My other dishes were as exceptional as expected but it was the apple tart that stole my heart that night.

Oh mon Dieu! It arrived together with caramel ice cream and whipped cream with bits of real vanilla and a dash of brandy. Someone cut it gently in front of me into two halves while I couldn’t take my eyes off its golden glow. I eat very slowly savouring every bite, thinking of beautiful sunsets, apple trees in bloom and fireworks. What a magical end to a...

Here it is which is on top of my list for the most Elite Ladies Night in Dubai. How did i not visit here for so long ? A year old beautiful bistro bar by Chef Pierre Gagnaire located in Intercontinental Dubai festival city boasting a swanky , elegant ambience and top notch service with exclusive culinary experience. We visited on the Pink me Ladies night which happens once a month . Unlimited selected cocktails and wines on the house . It starts at 8pm. I must say every little detail of this place is picturesquely beautiful. The interiors are artisitic, dreamy, fairytale, romantic, relaxed and attractive. We started off with our Pink me cocktails along with some bread and we sat outdoors as the climate was still super pleasant . With the soothing beautiful music, pleasing weather and the cocktails was water melon based and super refreshing . We were attended by Ms Roxaan who was simply super cute and attentive . She didnt miss to check on us every 10 minutes atleast . The place was crowded in no time with the girls group celebrating birthdays, hen party, just chilling ones and it was all lively and happening. We chose the 3 course meal which is with a starter, a main and a dessert. our starters were Pan fried Squids n mushrooms and Saffron Arancini Croquettes, Both of them were absolutely delicious. Then for the mains we moved indoors , we had Roasted Farm chicken and for dessert chocolate mousse and Lemon mousse. Everything was scrumptious and delectable with a beautiful presentation. As we moved indoors we were served by Michael who was super pleasant and made us smile with his jokes, must say happy staff definitely makes such a major difference in service. We also got some arabic calligraphy done by a artist who was around. Live music, super awesome crowd, positive vibes of laughter and happiness around, amazing food , next level service ....Probably one of the best ever girls night it was for us ! Cant wait to go back here soon again ! Kudos...

Best experience in Dubai!!! I can’t rave enough about this plce. It’s a gem within Intercontinental and possibly saved the hotel’s reputation with the service that was provided here. People from this restaurant should be in charge of the hospitality department of the hotel! To begin, the beautiful hostess was welcoming, our waiter (Saletish) was beyond exceptional in terms of service, and the barista (Zing) was not only helpful, but also made it a norm to stop by our table to check on us. The service from just these 3 people was 10 out of 5 stars and I hope they will be recognized for their efforts. The most memorable moments were plentiful so stay with me to read through this. Our hostess took the time to take photos of my wife and I before we even sat down. She then gave us a tour of the restaurant and asked which table we would prefer. She later returned to decorate our table with rose pedals and a candle to celebrate my anniversary with my wife. Our waiter, Saletish, offered great recommendations as well as a fun conversation throughout the evening. He later brought out a cake along with a sparkler to celebrate my anniversary with my wife. Zing, our barista, also shared duties to celebrate out special day and she did an amazing job offering drink recommendations as well as coming to also wish us a happy anniversary. My wife and I just came from the Maldives, where the hospitality was beyond what we had imagined. In our first few encounters with people in Dubai, we started to really miss Maldives. However, the people I mentioned at this restaurant made it all up. I highly, HIGHLY recommend this restaurant. On top of great service, their food was also delicious and worthy of the Michelin star(s). Get their truffle pizza. You can thank us, or Saletish, for this recommendation later. If you are done reading then what are you waiting for? Go get some great food while being pampered by the people there!!!
