Highlights : Horrible experience during check in with blowouts among guests due to weird hotel policy (this pretty much ruined the mood of the entire trip). Rooms were new but small and minimally furnished. The hotel has so much potential but sadly the management and staff have to be extensive trained. Please note that although they made the reservation available with breakfast, however, you have to go to another hotel in order to HAVE that breakfast, which I find really strange. I would understand if they were connected, but no, unlike Adagio and Novotel in Abu Dhabi, they are not connected by a bridge and you will need to exit the hotel, walk on the road till you reach the other hotel nearby. This is something that they should really clarify with guests before booking. Also, I’d like to reiterate (I explained this in the review of their sister hotel “kingsgate al jaddaf”) that the check in is STRICTLY at 3pm. Don’t come half an hour or even 15 minutes early, they will not let you in even if the rooms are available. I have stayed at many hotels in the uae and this is the only hotel that enforces such regime-like rule. Also, as per my booking there was no indication that I was supposed to pay for security deposit, BUT they (including the manager) insisted that we pay, but thankfully there was another lady with us who had a little more experience than any of us when it comes to hotel policy and managed to argued her and my way out of paying the security deposit (this is my 3rd stay in 3 weeks at kingsgate hotel and the ONLY time they asked for deposit and made a big deal out of it). Yet, this is another important thing that they failed to notify guests about prior to booking. The staff and the manager had horrible communication skills, saying things like “no one ever complaint about this” when you complain about something, “it’s not that far to walk from one hotel to the other for breakfast” when we said that why should we stay in one hotel and have breakfast at another?!. Well first of all, if they don’t have the facility to provide breakfast at the hotel they should set the guests’ expectations that the guests will have to go to another hotel for breakfast. Or better yet don’t give that option at all. I made impulsive decisions booking with this chain of hotels (I tried all 3 and they are all the same (probably because the staff were interchangeably moving from one to another?). Anyway, if you find nearby hotels charging the same competitive rate then I suggest you go for them. ----------------------------------------- Reply to the Hotel, I'm sure that you are gutted since you had to wait till one lady had a blow out and made a scene at the front desk. Please train your staff better.

I usually don’t put negative reviews but this place is simply unacceptable. We booked through Booking.com on basis of 3pm check-in. We arrived at 5pm and were informed that the rooms are still not ready. The “reception” which is as small as a valet table, only had one staff member. He was clearly overworked but also extremely under trained on how to speak to customers. We waited close to 1 hour in the lobby and once we finally managed to get checked in, we were provided no help or cart to take our luggage to the rooms. We initially booked 2 rooms. An “Upgraded room” (325Dhs) and a normal room (232Dhs) on booking.com. When we checked both rooms, we realized they were IDENTICAL, if not the upgraded room was worse with a smaller bed. Despite the description online showing “Bath”, none of the rooms had any bathtubs. The actual bathroom was not cleaned well with rust in multiple corners. As for amenities, the room did not have any towels or amenities on arrival. We called room service and were told that amenities are only available with charge. As for towels, they also initially told us we had to pay but after informing them that we did not have any towels to begin with, they agreed to get us some towels. Alas, those towels never even arrived despite following up on 2 occasions. Despite this TERRIBLE service and facility, they were extremely quick to call our room when they suspected that we brought an extra guest into our room (in fact, it was just our friend who was staying in the other room we booked, visiting us.). Their staff were generally rude with no manners like basic greetings or thank you when entering the room. I’ve been to several other hotels in Dubai with even more affordable prices which just don’t compare to how bad this place was. Frankly, I don’t even understand how this place is still functioning. Please don’t get scammed by the fake ratings on Booking or any other websites. Avoid this place at all costs.

It was the worst hotel i I've ever stayed on, there is no management at all,we were sisters staying on the room the security guy and the receptionist came into our room at 3:00 am they traumatized us and started shouting and yelling in very loud voice, bad attitude and in a very disrespectful way, we couldn't sleep that night, in the morning while we were checking out, they clammed that we made damages to the sleeping sheet because we spilled coffee on it and they said that coffee doesn't go out from the sheet they also said that we broke the boiler and later they found out that its not broken its burned and I swear we didn't do such a thing, this was all a ploy to not return our deposit back, i will never forget what they did and i will never forgive them, i hope police come and close this hotel for its bad reviews, if you don't wanna get scammed or traumatized and for your own safety,(I DON'T RECOMMEND ANYONE TO STAY THERE). الله لا يوفقكم لا دنيا لا اخرة وما عافية ليكم، حقي بيلاقيكم في الدنيا قبل الاخرة ، حسبي الله ونعم الوكيل فيكم

An Unbearable Nightmare at Kingsgate Jaddaf Canal Hotel

I am compelled to share my horrendous experience at the Kingsgate Jaddaf Canal Hotel, which turned out to be an absolute nightmare. The abysmal conditions, non-existent guest care, and utter lack of professionalism have left me with no choice but to warn others about this appalling establishment.

The most infuriating aspect of my stay was the intolerable, incessant noise from the reckless maintenance work. It was a cacophony that shattered any semblance of peace and relaxation, making sleep an elusive luxury. The hotel management's sheer audacity to subject their guests to such a disruptive and unacceptable environment is beyond comprehension.

Adding insult to injury, the staff displayed an appalling disregard for guest care. We were never informed of the ongoing maintenance, nor were any apologies or attempts to rectify the situation offered. The staff's indifference to our concerns made it abundantly clear that the hotel has zero interest in ensuring guest satisfaction or comfort.

The level of unprofessionalism exhibited by the hotel staff was nothing short of disgraceful. Their incompetence and disorganization were infuriating, further tarnishing an already abysmal experience. It is baffling how such a poorly managed and ill-equipped establishment continues to operate.

In summary, my stay at the Kingsgate Jaddaf Canal Hotel was an insufferable ordeal that I would not wish upon my worst enemy. The unbearable maintenance noise, the complete absence of guest care, and the deplorable lack of professionalism exhibited by the staff have left me appalled and utterly disgusted. I implore anyone considering a stay at this wretched hotel to think twice and avoid it at all costs. Your sanity and peace of mind...
