Wow! This is going to be a long review, What an experience we have had this week at palazzo versace Dubai 3rd - 10th of September 2025 magical from start to finish, we were collected by palazzo versace Dubai (in with our room choice) from the airport, our driver was absolutely brilliant nothing to much trouble so helpful and very polite, kind and courteous on both arrival and departure thank you so very much. |when we arrived at palazzo versace dubai, we were in awe of just how absolutely beautiful the hotel lobby/whole of the hotel was in person šŸ˜, we were greeted by all staff so politely each and every-time we passed by, we went to reception to check in and the gentleman who checked us in asked us how our flight was, got us all checked in and he said he had upgraded us for free and we were taken by this gentleman (didn't catch his name sadly 🄲) too one of palazzo Versace’s stunning and out of this world signature suites it was so incredibly kind of the gentleman who not only checked us in but took us to our room showed us around! What an incredible and perfect way to start our holiday and our first stay at palazzo versace for my other half's birthday week!! Pure magic …… ||With our room We had breakfast in Giardino everyday, there was so much choice and the food is lovely, and you chose either lunch or dinner daily, in Enigma (Persian restaurant ) or vanitas (Italian) included each day, the food was absolutely stunning in both restaurants and the staff in each were so attentive, kind and helpful i especially want to praise Gerald who we always saw in the Giardino for breakfast he went always above and beyond for everyone not just us, everyone and also barthog was also very attentive and helpful (i hope i have spelt his name correctly) Gerald just made our mornings with such a lovely personality always smiling and happy whilst always giving 100% to his work 🄰,. ||The cleanliness of palazzo versace Dubai was 5 🌟+ everywhere we went was spotless and sparkly, the gentlemen who cleaned our room everyday were great and worked so hard they gave us some gifts which came as such a lovely surprise and such a kind gesture. What an experience we really had.||The pool LA PISCINA was stunning šŸ˜ no words really to describe it just felt like a lovely little retreat any bed you wanted you could have, it was lovely and quiet each time we went absolute bliss. ||And last but certainly not least The Executive ORO lounge was beautiful the versace chic carpets were exquisite and the different rooms were stunning, we had an afternoon tea which was also very nice a lovely experience. ||WE WOULD JUST LIKE TO SAY A HUGE THANK YOU TO YOU ALL SO MUCH AT PALAZZO VERSACE DUBAI FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS FOR AN AMAZING WEEK WE WILL BE...

We hosted our wedding at Palazzo Versace Dubai, and while the venue is undeniably beautiful, our overall experience with the events team was incredibly disappointing and frustrating.

Before signing our contract, we inquired about special room rates for our overseas guests. The hotel assured us in writing that they could provide a special code. However, after signing, they dismissed our requests and claimed the ā€œspecial rateā€ was simply the standard rate on their website. Despite multiple attempts to escalate, including asking for a manager, the hotel refused to acknowledge their prior written promise.

Regarding alcohol service, we requested a per-consumption system for our wedding reception. The hotel events team pushed for an open cash bar instead, assuring us repeatedly that the budget provided would suffice, even after notifying them a week prior to the event that guest numbers had increased. On the wedding day, they unethically announced that the budget had been exceeded within the first 30 minutes, despite very few guests having ordered drinks.

We observed bartenders pouring oversized servings (shots filled to the brim, large wine pours) as if trying to deplete stock faster. Shockingly, they claimed two bottles of wine were finished within the first half hour, even though no wine had been ordered yet. When we asked to see the empty bottles, they refused.

Upon raising this issue, the events team blamed us for not addressing it sooner, despite the fact that we did notify them immediately when we became aware. As the bride and groom, we were naturally focused on the wedding itself, not managing hotel oversight during our celebration.

Additionally, the on-ground hotel team’s behavior towards our guests and family was dismissive and unprofessional, with instances of rudeness and inflexibility when concerns were raised.

The bartender at one point left the bar and approached the groom’s mother, grabbing her hands and dancing with her. She was visibly uncomfortable but felt obligated to cooperate out of politeness. This behavior was incredibly unprofessional and highly inappropriate. Such conduct is unacceptable at any event, let alone a wedding.

While we were fortunate to have amazing third-party wedding planners who ensured the event went smoothly, the lack of professionalism and integrity from the hotel’s events team left a bitter impression.

Palazzo Versace Dubai may offer a stunning backdrop, but the hotel team’s mishandlings, dishonesty, and dismissive attitude tarnished our experience. The unethical practices and inappropriate actions witnessed throughout the process could even warrant legal recourse, making it all the more disappointing. We expected much better service from a luxury venue of...

The hotel seems to be up for sale or has already been sold, which might explain the poor staff performance, lack of service, and "pass the buck" mentality.

At Ā£550 per night, you’re essentially paying for the name and the building, not the service. I booked this hotel for one night as a special treat for my partner's birthday, but we couldn't wait to leave. The initial receptionist was professional and helpful, but everything went downhill after that.

The room was advertised with city views, but the only view we had was of a platform. It felt like an enclosed space with no view at all.

My partner is diabetic, so we went to the restaurant in the main lobby for food. Despite it being low season with few visitors, a waitress disappeared after saying she would get us a menu, and never returned. We waited over 15 minutes before deciding to find food elsewhere in the hotel must have been around 4 or 5 pm, the pool staff informed us that we had just missed the last food orders and suggested we go back to the same restaurant where we had been ignored. We had just seen a snack delivered to another guest, so this was disappointing.

We had to demand a menu when we returned to the restaurant, as my partner urgently needed to take his insulin.

Breakfast was no better—there was a hair in the food, and the replacement dish was cold and overcooked. The apology we received was insincere. We were chased for payment while sitting on the restaurant patio, even though we had said we would be returning inside and had left our items on the table.

To top it off, reception called our room to ask when we were leaving, despite the fact that my partner had already called the concierge to collect our luggage over 15 minutes earlier. The receptionist didn't ask how our stay was or if we needed anything else.

The overall service was more in line with a 2-star hotel, not a 5-star one, especially since I had to carry all our luggage out of the room myself.

Only one staff member, likely from room service, offered to help when he saw me struggling.

Management pass the buck to 'other' Management then they request you stay for free instead of a refund so you can rusk wasting your time instead of along with your money next time!

So much poor Management and lack of actual service standard throughout all departments. When we stayed at another hotel we got chatting to a guest there and they said they had a similar experience there also.

Overall Experience: A...

Just had the worst afternoon tea experience here. Gorgeous, opulent setting set the expectation very high but we were met with stale scones and a lobby lounge infested with flies. After repeatedly telling the staff (who didn’t seem bothered) that we couldn’t eat because flies were landing in the food, we got a prim lecture from the lady I am assuming is the manager (wearing a grey blazer) about how flies in a five star hotel is just ā€œnatureā€ and there was nothing much they could do about it. Finally almost 45 minutes into the entire ghastly experience, a staff member emerged with a zapper and unalived a horde of flies near us. The manager was not apologetic and added a discount and offer to pack the food as an afterthought. We paid, declined the food and vowed never to set foot in what is a very sad shell of the glorious hotel It used to be. Very disappointing. A few other things the palazzo Versace team need to learn about presentation and service. 1. I had called ahead and made a reservation and told them it was a special occasion. There was absolutely no effort made to make the occasion special In anyway. 2. We sat and waited almost 20 mins before staff approached us. That was also after we called them over. 3. The tea had not been strained and there were tea leaves floating in every cup. We then had one of the members tell us it was ā€œokā€ and that the pot had a built in strainer (hmm) even though there were bits flowing in our cups. We are Sri Lankans so brewing tea is kind of what we know best and this just didn’t make sense. 4. The food was beautifully presented but there were some bits and misses. Overall it was really underwhelming. Bottom line: please visit if you want to know what it’s like to have high tea in a swamp. If you have more elevated tastes, best to find somewhere else to spend your money and time.

Stayed at this hotel from 18.09 to 20.09.25 in room 510. I myself used to own hotels and restaurants, so I know the business from the inside. 1. Service — top level. 2. Cleanliness — perfect, the hotel is spotless and constantly being cleaned. 3. Breakfast — varied and tasty. 4. If you book half board, then dinner is served in the main restaurant on Fridays. On other days, dinner is offered in the Iranian or Italian restaurant (Ć  la carte menu). 5. We were offered to upgrade to a Junior Suite with Executive service, and we agreed. It includes: breakfast, Afternoon Tea from 14:00 to 16:00 in the Executive Lounge, from 17:00 to 19:00 you can order one alcoholic drink and get the second one free, or unlimited tea/coffee and snacks (cold and hot appetizers, desserts), also in the Executive Lounge, and, of course, dinner. The Executive Lounge is located in the right wing from the entrance, on the second floor. The package also includes access to the spa area: hammam, jacuzzi, sauna. 6. Make sure to specify whether you want a smoking or non-smoking room. The property has three swimming pools, a gym, a sauna, and a beauty salon. I read some reviews and was surprised. For example, one guest lost a watch worth 30,000 and gave the hotel the lowest score. But how can the hotel be responsible for the careless behavior of a guest who lost their own belongings? Another review said that a guest had half board (which covers dinner for one person), but he brought along someone who didn’t stay at the hotel, and then complained he had to pay for the second person. That is normal policy. šŸ‘‰ Overall: this hotel is luxurious, highly recommended. Another big plus — there are very few children.

I recently stayed at the Versace Plaza Hotel in Dubai. The hotel is beautiful, spacious, and welcoming, with a lovely touch of chocolates waiting in our room and a fantastic view of the pier. However, there were some drawbacks. The hotel has three pools, which was great, but it would have been better if one was adults-only for a quieter experience, and a cool water bottle would have been appreciated. The breakfast service was disappointing, to say the least; we had to ask employees to serve us items like cheese, vegetables, and dessert (instead of helping ourselves), which felt quite demeaning. Additionally, we ordered crepes that never arrived, and a vegetarian omelet came with turkey bacon, which was a significant issue for us. Also, dirty plates were never cleared off our table. We also upgraded our room at an extra cost to enjoy the tea time offered, but when we saw we were unable to use it, we asked to do so on our checkout day - and were denied. This was particularly disappointing as we were celebrating our honeymoon, and could have easily been overlooked. Lastly, we requested a late checkout, but the staff didn't even check the possibility and simply said the hotel was fully booked. It would have been nice if they had checked before denying us. We were also overcharged at check out - we had paid for a half board, but were charged for dinner by mistake. We explained this to the hotel concierge, and they asked for a couple of hours to clear this up before checking us out. Eventually, they owned up to the mistake... While the hotel has many positives, these aspects did impact our stay. I hope the management considers these points to improve future experiences.
