Amarone in brief, is a near perfect pre- theatre dinner spot. Went for dinner here with a friend. We had the burratta and beef croquettes to start. The bursts was rich and creamy, and I thoroughly enjoyed the aubergine and pine nut base. It can be very tiring just having it served on a bed of salad with a few tomatoes. Points for uniqueness. The beef croquettes were crispy and meaty. I would have liked them to appear more cylindrical, as currently they look more like aranchini balls. For my main I had the Rigatoni all’Amatriciana which was enjoyable. It had a nice strong salty pork flavour via the guancale, which was balanced by the white cream sauce. Pasta was cooked to perfection. I think the let down here is not with the food or the service, but the decor. I think the room is a bit dark, and I also think the photos of Elvis etc are a bit out of place in an Italian. Right next door to the theatre, so great for pre theatre dinner.

The restaurant looks incredibly elegant and worth a visit in itself. The service is very pleasant and you immediately feel welcome. I asked the waiter to choose a menu for me. I have not regretted it. For starters a Tartara di fassona. Fassona beef tartare with red onion chutney, spicy handmade mayonnaise, rocket and parmesan. It tasted absolutely amazing. For the main course I was presented to Osso buco alla Milanese. Veal shanks braised with vegetables and red wine, served with saffron risotto. Again, the dish was extremely well prepared and it was a true experience for the taste buds. For dessert I got two scoups of ice cream (vanilla and pistachio) as well as an espresso. All in all, a great meal where both stomach and soul had a great experience. From me the biggest praises to the restaurant staff and the strongest recommendations to others to visit it too.

-The place is cozy, all decorated with old time Hollywood stars, located in the heart of Bath, ambien music, clean and tidy place. - The staff is kind, attentive and friendly at all times. -The quality of the food is good, fresh and tasty. -The prices are acceptable ###Needs to improve: -Between the first and the second dish the waiting time is too much. -The sizes of the portions are quite petty for what is expected from an Italian restaurant. All the Latin mediterranean food culture is well known for serving abundant quantity in the dish, not represented here. ***Concluding, it is a restaurant that I recommend, but certainly can improve. Not recommended if you are a greedy person who likes generous and plentiful dishes, lean back in the chair and unbutton a trouser button and feel really full and satisfied at the end of the meal.

Really disappointed with the food. Over priced, small portions, still hungry after 3 courses, felt very ripped off. The staff were really lovely & they would have gotten 4 stars but they went from 1 extreme to the other, at first they really rushed me, only just sat down & wanted to take my order, food came out really quickly, my daughter hadn't even finished chewing her last bite and they rushed to snatch the plates away. Later on though we sat 10 minutes waiting for our desert order to be taken. The food though was the biggest disappointment, I have already mentioned the really small portions & feeling very ripped off but I have to say the swordfish did not taste fresh, it had no flavour whatsoever and I wasn't able to eat it. I had a rocket and parmesan salad, I had to play hunt the parmesan though. My daughter had the sea bass, they should put it.on a smaller plate, maybe it wouldn't have looked so pathetic. Finally I ordered a coffee as wouldn't have eaten any of the deserts on offer, never had I ever hadbto ask for sugar and the little biscuit that comes as standard with coffees in restaurants wasn't there. Fortunately for the restaurant I didn't make a fuss, the place was so small it would have been embarrassing, I just paid and left, wishing I had gone to pizza express or 5 guys which are on the same...

I've been here a couple of times for dinner, and it's absolutely lovely.

Great selection of dishes - a noticeable handful of vegetarian dishes as well for those inclined! Wine list has something for everyone, and I was delighted to discover that the PINOT GRIGIO, Terre del Noce tasted fantastic at a very modest price.

My partner enjoyed a Pere e Spinac and I opted for Pollo e Taleggio, the pronunctions of which we both royally butchered. Although a normal portion, I found myself very content and full afterwards, and I am led to believe that the salad was divine.

Staff are top-notch; friendly yet professional, and very informative and knowledgeable, more than happy to answer any questions and ensure that your dining experience is ideal. Manager also extremely friendly and approachable. I believe the wife of a couple sat near us had secretly requested a birthday cake be brought out, which was done to great delight of the gentleman.

The atmosphere is also very sophisticated; a real treat to dine there. Beautiful art and detailing in an intimate dining space. All-in-all, an absolute pleasure and would wholeheartedly recommend others to experience Amarone for theirselves; especially if you are attending the theatre next door, the Pre-Theatre menu is not only reasonably priced but has some absolutely...

Just dropped in for lunch & so glad we found this place! Gorgeous building, interesting decor & very comfortable seating. Really lovely service, very attentive but not to the point of cloying. But the star of the show was without doubt the food. We had lamb skewers to start & they were absolutely delicious as was the dipping sauce, the skewers were just charred enough to be really tasty but not tough. My main course was the supreme of chicken & it was utterly divine, lovely crispy bacon on the outside moist chicken stuffed with herbs & cheese inside all nestled in a mouth watering red wine jus. Hubby had a smoked chicken & pasta dish that was enveloped in a superb mushroom sauce, absolutely full of deep rich mushroom flavour. Finally the desserts He had tiramisu & he said it was the best he's had, made & served in a dish (not a slice) Soft, light & absolutely amazing. I had the poached pear & firstly it looked beautiful, a lovely round of ice-cream on the side & the delicately poached pear in the centre but it was sat in the most exquisite zabaglione I've ever tasted. All in all this place was perfect & we'll definitely...
