FOOD POISONING
Went out with my family to this Nando’s, and was already really unhappy with my order- I ordered the chicken butterfly which is described as two chicken breasts, for £8.50. So obviously, I expected just that but instead I received one tiny piece of chicken breast. I wasn’t happy with this obviously as I thought it was misleading (but was unable to change since there was ‘technically nothing wrong with the order, it was just not what I expected) so I ate the meagre piece of chicken and remembered why I don’t go to Nando’s. It tasted terrible. Burnt, and really dry. Needed to drink water after every bite.
However I was willing to just accept that and not write a review- BUT then much later (about a day and a half later) my dad gets food poisoning! He threw up in the morning. (He had a chicken burger) and I also don’t feel that great (but I do not throw up). We are the only two people that had chicken from that place and we both get sick.
Overall, it was terrible eating experience. That being said, the waiters/staff were pleasant. If it weren’t for the fact that my dad got food poisoning from this place then I likely would have given two stars instead. They allowed us to re-fill drinks.

Read moreWorst service I’ve ever had from a Nando’s, would give it 0 stars if I could. There was a 30 minute wait for a table, no problem at all. Left our name and number with the guy at the door and went off for a while. 30 came and went, then 40, 50, 1 hour…. Eventually my partner went to the door and asked what was going on as we could see it was practically empty inside. The man at the door said he’d “sent a notification a while ago”, obviously he’d forgotten, but chose to lie instead of owning up to his mistake. We sat down and ordered quickly (we always have the same, or a variation of the same). We had to wait 20 minutes for 2 glasses and a carton of juice because of a “ticket malfunction”, again, I presume a lie. I would wager someone had forgotten to change the till roll. The food was delicious as per usual, but the service was very very poor. The man with the iPad was milling around looking unhelpful, whilst his colleague was racing around the very few tables like a gerbil. Bad managing and bad lying. Not impressed and unsure if we’ll bother returning to this...
Read moreFirst time visiting Nando’s Bath (I remember this site being a TGI Fridays back in 2019). Ordered via the QR code system and had to wait around 30 minutes for the food to arrive. What really bothered me was overhearing the chef telling staff that my starter had just been sitting there — or possibly even given to a Deliveroo driver.
When the food did arrive, the chicken thighs were slightly pink. I put this down to the hemoglobin reaction (since I know Nando’s quality of chicken isn’t what it used to be in the UK, likely to cut costs), but it was still off-putting.
I also ordered a bottomless drink, but after waiting 5 minutes for a glass, I had to ask a member of staff to fetch one from behind the bar.
To be fair, I overheard that new staff were being trained this week, so it could just be a new team issue at this branch. That said, the QR code ordering still feels clunky and impersonal — maybe Nando’s should consider going back to the old way of ordering at the counter or with staff. Service and food standards could definitely be...
