If you are wanting a Greek experience then this restaurant will give you a nice little experience and great food and me and my family had a lovely time there the only down fall to our meal was there was no proper entertainment on as was a Sunday but my Sister was told there would be and it was her Birthday also which made the disappointment worse, one thing I was expecting when ordering drinks is that everyone would have had a seat number and individual bills but as it was a Mezze type meal which was really nice it was all charged together at the end which ment a number of guests did not have paid correctly for what they had so everyone paid for what they thought they had meaning a guest at the end paid nearly £50 which was unfair and 2 of the guests had allergies so never ate anything 1 guest had bread thats it the 1 not eating only had drinks but was still charged £21 for a share in the meal at £21 !ma head which was not fair and unacceptable so as a party we have worked it out that we have paid £42 too much so my advice to you as a restaurant you need to ask if people need individual billing then assign seating numbers to take down what each guest has and as a guest make sure to ask for individual billing if a large party. Other than that the meal was great and people at the restaurant are really nice just a real shame the chaotic billing system lead to guests been over charged let it down....... Normally any over charging from a meal I would only be leaving a 2 or 3 star rating but I love the Greek culture and felt very in a Greek culture eating at the restaurant with a nice friendly atmosphere and good food so even without no lengthy entertainment for the evening feel a 4 star is deserved...

Pedros was amazing in his service. Enthusiastic, friendly, humorous and a proper old school Greek. Santorini was a genuine little gem just on the outskirts of Chinatown in Birmingham. Initially when you approach it can look deceptive as a takeaway only venue with its open kitchen counter. When you enter however, you are greeted promptly and shown to the table. The food was gorgeous as our party went for the £23 mezze option. So many different flavours and food. Portion sizing was definitely not an issue here. It all tasted fresh and well cooked. We also appreciated the free shots of Oozo and starters and traditional desserts such as baklava to brighten up the evening. The drinks were very well priced at only £6 for a selection of different cocktails. Decor wise, it reminds you of being in Greece with its colourful walls, Greek music playing in the background and open kitchen. The letdown here is the toilets which although functional could use some refurbishment with taps that were off centre in the male toilets for example. The host also got into a bit of confusion about our bill at the end but this was promptly resolved. Overall our party thoroughly enjoyed this experience and would definitely come back. A solid 9/10

Visited here at lunchtime as someone I support wanted to try some Greek cuisine. There's not a lot of choice in Birmingham but this place looked inviting. The menu was quite extensive but a little confusing the way it was laid out and the choices, especially regarding the kebabs. However, my service user wanted to try the moussaka so we went for this. Dips and bread were brought to our table, not sure what all the dips were but they were very tasty, as was the bread. We ordered more bread and some calamari for starters and 2 moussakas. We waited a while and everything came together which was disappointing. The calamari was quite good but came with fries as did the main course! The main was £16 and consisted of a very small portion of moussaka which was obviously microwaved and needed more sauce and mince. The rest of the plate was made up with rice, more fries, and a salad with potatoes in it! I suspect this was to make the plate look like it had more on it, but totally over the top with carbs. The salad was fresh and tasty. It wasn't busy at all and whilst the decor was very nice I won't be returning.

After reading the reviews on here I’m really not sure what happened last night! I have never come across such rude, bad mannered, unhelpful, unprofessional staff. After a really bad experience last night here we unfortunately didn’t get to sample the food as we didn’t stop long enough and decided to go elsewhere

Unfortunately I seem to be unable to reply to your reply so have added it to my original review: Yes I’m sure you can imagine we were saddened too! On entering the restaurant we were literally shooed to our seats and grunted at by one of your male members of staff. We light heartedly brushed it off as ‘service with a smile’ and took it that you were busy, however when is a restaurant ever too busy to show good customer services. Then once the same member of staff came to our table to collect food order we pointed out that we hadn’t ordered drinks and would like to see a drinks menu ( not a big ask I don’t feel?) however he then proceeded to make me feel absolutely humiliated in his general response and attitude. I felt this may be a miss understanding and explained that I was unable to order a drink as I had never been before and didn’t know what you offered, only to be once again treated like I was asking too much- after pointing out that he was coming across as quite rude he disappeared to get me a drinks menu. At this point I felt very red faced partly due to humiliation at the scene this was creating ( I’m genuinely not one for causing a scene and was utterly embarrassed) and partly anger at the way I was being treated by staff who were supposed to be ‘warm and friendly’ 🤣. However the scene continued when a female server came to take our orders. I quite fancied mezze but my husband who likes a proper meal fancied lamb. I tried to order this and it seemed to once again create a lot of confusion. The lady explained that mezzes is for 2 people- fair enough if this was pointed out anywhere or was included in the price indicated but it was not. It was under the heading of main meals with a price of £21 next to it with no other direction, she then leapt into an explanation of if we were a large group that this is what it would be per person 🤷‍♀️. The goings on up to this point unfortunately left a very bad first impression. Unfortunately your staff gave a firm impression that being friendly and warm and helpful to your customers is just overrated. I however feel this gave a nastier taste than any food you could of served me. As we made our booking in good faith with the reflection of the good reviews on the internet I feel it is only fair to share our less than positive experience too. The overall disappointment was magnified further as this was my husband and I’s first proper night out in the last 2 years due to the...

Booked a table for an early evening reservation for a large group to celebrate a birthday and meet up for a chat.

When we arrived we were taken upstairs to a pre-prepared table. Also immediately we were given what we all thought were complimentary started dishes. I know on previous visits the restaurant kindly provides this so thought nothing of it.

Then more dishes came then yet more to the point when the table was overwhelmed with dishes. We ran out of space to place them whilst waiting for the menus. Many of the guests in the group ate little of the ‘starters’ to make room for the main meal. At this point we asked the waiters why all the dishes and said that we are still waiting for the menus and didn’t order any of this food. They told us it was a mezze “it’s what we do for parties”. We said that we are not having a party – just a quiet meal with friends. We repeated that we did not order these dishes and were waiting – still waiting - for the menu. However, discussion on the matter could not continue due to communication barriers.

One hour later and our table was now littered with half eaten ‘starters’, many of which had gone cold, whilst we still waited for our menus for the main course. Someone in the group said this resembled a scheme from Faulty Towers.

Two hours later we decided to cut the birthday cake. We then waited another 40 minutes for the bill having asked many times for this. Total cost worked out at £34 per guest for what - ‘starters’! There was no itemised bill, no written receipt. The waiter had a printed list of what we had consumed but did not share this with us. We had to take his word for it. His attitude was abrupt.

We had no knowledge of the cost of the food and no informed choice as to our orders. All in all a totally ruined occasion. Message to the Management - please do not assume what we want to eat! Worse restaurants experience I have ever encountered and I’ve been to many restaurants around the world - including Greece where the hospitality is second to none. In summary – a terrible experience and a shambolic service. We feel...
