The Railway offers a delightful blend of cozy atmosphere and a diverse drink selection. From the moment you walk in, the warm wood interiors and soft lighting create an inviting environment perfect for unwinding after a long day.

The beer selection is impressive, featuring cask ales alongside classic favorites. I highly recommend trying Madri; it’s both refreshing and full of flavour. The cocktail menu also deserves a mention, with creative concoctions that elevate the typical pub experience.

The food is another highlight. The menu offers a variety of options, from classic pub fare like fish and chips to more unique dishes like their gourmet burgers. Everything we ordered was delicious, and the portion sizes were generous.

Service was attentive without being intrusive, which made our visit even more enjoyable. The staff seemed knowledgeable about the menu and were happy to make recommendations.

Overall, The Railway is a fantastic spot for anyone looking to relax, enjoy good food, and sip on quality drinks. I’ll definitely...

£3.75 a pint right in the heart of Birmingham City.

Definitely worth a visit, decent food, decent beer and friendly staff.

I challenge you to find a pint of beer of this quality at this price anywhere else in the city all day Monday to Friday

Update: I have revisited after a couple of months (which included wallet busting increases for hospitality employers such as minimum wage increasing and increases on NI plus costs of products reaching all time price highs) and what do I find when i arrive here? The price of a pint has come down by 35p on my aforementioned review.

Still giving the same amazing friendly service and now at £3.40 for a pint in the city centre while all others are starting to increase prices, makes this place a must visit.

Anyone catching a train from New Street and considering the pubs inside the station, this place is only a minute walk away and so much better.

Keep up the...

very disappointed with the service here. A group of us came last night for food and drinks...first of all, the woman behind the bar tried to overcharge two of us for drinks that came with the meal. Misleading information on the menu. 6 of us ordered food, waited half an hour which was fine, but only 2 of us got served then the rest had to wait another half of hour for their food when we all paid at the same time! absolutely ridiculous. Having said that, my burger was also burnt, hardly any chips with it, went to tell woman behind bar they'd run out of ketchup, took her ages to get some more and she also didn't know what we meant by 'ketchup'. We seemed to be causing the staff a lot of trouble just by being there, felt very unwelcome. Also, I recall the woman behind the bar saying 'that's too good for this place' when we enquired about a particular cocktail. Enough said I think. DO NOT...

Literally I had the worst food in my life in that place. The food took more than 30 minutes. The burger was burned to charcoal black (the waitress got shocked too and immediately changed it after waiting 20 more minutes). I ordered smothered chicken and what I got was reheated, old, half chicken breast topped with un-melted cheddar (the waitress did nothing except apologizing and saying this how we serve it 🙂 ). Also I ordered mac & cheese, but what I got was small bowel of mac soaked in butter topped with pieces of the same old chicken they had that day with burned garlic bread (the waitress did nothing except apologizing again and said that's our mac & cheese 🙂 ). They had no salads for unknown reason, but they served me two old side salads with the orders. Anyway I'm reporting that complaint to the website, but I hope they give a ****.

We came in here to watch the match as there was £3 pints advertised inside and outside.paid for the first drink then on the second the barmaid said it's gone back up to it's original price as the till was down.the manager was called and said she needed to call her manager to solve this.i settled for 2 pints at thee quid each but as told I would have to pay the original price for the next ones.the girl serving me was nice and was clearly embarrassed for having to call her boss.I paid for the next drink at full price as it was close to the end of the match ,we then left.
