A lamentable experience. It draws great interest from myself how the location acquired such good reviews. The venue resides in the awkward category of some kind of amalgamation, neither pub, beer hall nor pizzeria. Admittedly we didn’t sample the beer, but opted for a £1.80 half pint of Pepsi, or a “child’s coke” as our waiter exhaled on delivery. No infant in toe, we continued our order of 4 pizzas, via the enigma of a localised naming convention. The Roman’s may well of conquered the Black Country but plebeians seldom consider the region to be renowned for their dairy and dough delights. Our “Blazing Saddles”, “Smethwick Scorchers” were delivered, the base lukewarm and the cheese barely tepid. Maybe they were shipped in by barge? We ordered on the app though, so got 20% off... bostin’!

Joined for the bottomless brunch, absolutely astounded by the service and value for money. £29 per person for a standard bottomless brunch, £8 extra if you want cocktails. Menu attached. Georgia was our waitress and as someone who has tried other bottomless brunches, this was by far the best service. Never waiting for a refill, polite check in's for extra drinks or if everything was ok with the food (which was plenty of it!). Really enjoyed the laid back atmosphere and amazing service. Recommend this to recent couples and group parties. Special thanks to Georgia for being an amazing waitress. Really made our experience special.

Great place to go out to eat either with a few friends or a large group. I would recommend making a reservation for the evenings as the place is popular. There are a combination of seating styles from tables with chairs, to ones with benches. They have a ready good range of specialist ciders and the staff are knowledgeable and helpful at the same time. You can try a cider tasting board if your not sure what to get. The pizzas are good and at a reasonable price also, but you might have to order something extra if you've got an appetite. I would definitely recommend this place if you like pizza and cider!

Really disappointed with mine and my friends night here, we hadn’t booked a table so were told to get a drink at the bar and we would be told when a table was available (which was absolutely fine) we had been standing at the bar for roughly 10/15 minutes talking until we turned around as we thought we were about to be served. My friend went to start talking to the man behind the bar before he rudely replied with “ha you’re definitely getting ignored as you’ve jumped the queue” in a extremely sarcastic tone and almost laughing at us and then went on to say we had apparently pushed in somewhere when in reality we had been standing there a while watching people come and go with their drinks who had only been waiting a few minutes. He then told us to go right to the back which was completely out of order. Why have a till and a card machine which people were serving from and expect people not to start queueing in front of it? We explained we had been waiting for a while and hadn’t “pushed” in front of anyone and had been waiting longer than anyone else stood there. His reply was “well I never saw you”. Another bar man then said “who’s next” and the kind lady standing next to us let us go first as she noticed how long we had been stood waiting and how this man had just spoken to us. The next man was very pleasant but then the previous rude man pulled a face at us and went on to whisper something to the guy who was serving us, not quite sure what he said but I’m guessing he was telling him not to serve us. This then made the situation even more uncomfortable and awkward for us especially since we had done absolutely nothing wrong!! I have NEVER experienced this from bar staff in my life and thought it was absolutely shocking, rude and immature behaviour. To go as far as whispering and giving out dirty looks when you work in customer service is not acceptable. Even if we had been waiting in the wrong place to get a drink he could of politely said “you have to queue here” etc. No need for sarcastic and rude comments that make people feel uncomfortable. I then felt really awkward going back up to order my food as I didn’t want to speak to to the same man again but luckily didn’t have to. The food however was very nice and the rest of the staff were lovely and pleasant! Just a shame about the rude, unprofessional...

I must say, our outing at the stable was an absolute delight! From start to finish, everything was simply perfect, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The moment we stepped in, we were greeted warmly by the staff, setting the tone for what would be an incredible evening.

Let's start with the pizza - oh my goodness, it was heavenly! The flavors were rich and authentic, and each bite was a burst of pure deliciousness. Every slice was made to perfection. I could tell that the ingredients were fresh, and the crust was just the right amount of crispy and chewy. It's no exaggeration to say that this was some of the best pizza I've ever had!

And the dessert! I'm still dreaming about it. The sweet treats were a delightful indulgence that rounded off the meal perfectly. The rich and gooey chocolate brownie with the smooth ice cream and delicious caramel sauce was pure decadence.

I must commend the staff for their excellent service throughout the entire evening. They were attentive, friendly, and always had a smile on their faces. Our glasses were never empty with those bottomless drinks, and they made sure we had everything we needed to make our time there enjoyable. It's clear that the staff takes great pride in their work, and it made the whole experience even more enjoyable.

Overall, I can't thank the stable enough for providing us with such a fantastic outing. The combination of mouthwatering pizza, delectable desserts, and top-notch service made for an unforgettable evening. I will definitely be recommending this place to all my friends and family, and I can't wait to come back for another delightful experience. Kudos to the entire team for their hard work and dedication in creating such a wonderful...

I went to The Stable with a friend before going to the theatre on a relatively quiet Thursday evening. We had 90 minutes to eat and enjoy a drink - plenty of time, we thought!

Unfortunately we waited 50 minutes for our pizzas, with absolutely no apology for the wait. We spotted other people complain about the temperature of their food after such a long wait as well - the tater tots I ordered had clearly not been cooked to order, and my pizza wasn't exactly warm in all honesty. Why wasn't it warm? I could see the people and I could see the ovens - was my food waiting on the side? Because after waiting that long, I want that pizza to be piping hot! The place wasn't especially busy either, so that can't be blamed - as we left, some patrons asked for their pizza to be boxed to take away as they had run out of time. Not exactly surprising after waiting close to an hour!

Overall, a really disappointing experience. The pizza was mediocre at best (it's more like a dry cracker base, but not in a Neopolitan pizza way - just thin and dry, like a matzo) and the toppings aren't well cooked or generous. The flavours are creative but badly executed. The customer service was just "fine"; after waiting that long I expected an apology at the very least - nothing. But when you are paying 40 quid for drinks and food, I would expect it to be a bit better on both levels. Tbh, I'm surprised the reviews are so positive - maybe I've been spoiled with good pizza!

I wouldn't bother...
