Princes Pantry — Restaurant in Bristol

Travelling through Bristol in August I was looking for some lunch, found Princes Pantry on Google maps and decided to give it a go. I won't forget their halloumi burger in a long time. It was one of the biggest, naughtiest, lushest, most succulent, delicious creations I've ever sunk my teeth into, and very reasonably priced. The food and banter are clearly in high demand locally too. Regulars came and collected orders while the two lovely, friendly ladies who seemed to run the place expertly prepared my burger. I haven't been here a lot and I think it's up for sale now. When I do go I'm always amazed at how cheaply you can get yourself lunch. It's pretty much fried stuff in a bun and they even have something called a heart-attack or a stroke burger with the full works in it - but they also do bacon and avocado and vegetarian burgers. Its unapologetic in the simplicity of its premise, and there is something classy about that. No inside space to eat but a couple of picnic tables outside if you need to sit down...
