After a break from the Fringe and busy morning of charity and vintage shopping from South Bridge up Clerk Street I was peckish. None of the "trendy" or "boutique" places appealed. I was wondering what to do when I spotted this place and thought it was time to roll the dice. It is safe to say they landed on double-sixes (or double one if you play backgammon). I tried the mixed breakfast special sandwich. Bacon, egg, sausage and cheese with chilli sauce in a large but light fresh breadcake. The word is wow!! The best breakfast sandwich I had in Edinburgh. The staff were really friendly, really helpful, the cafe itself had a light, airy feel and charm. The other folk in there were up for speaking. The local next to me said she has the tuna melt.
