Aruba was a really unique restaurant. It's just before Bournemouth's Pier. There is a few.options on the menu and the burger was amazing.... I had a small plate and a main and I was very full. Honestly, the portions are great for what you are paying anf the flavour is also great, the texture of the meat was great and it wasn't too hot or too cold. It was just in the right temprature to be eaten. Eating outside is highly recommended as the view is amazing, you can dee the whole beach and pier and the best thing is that even if there are smokers and you don't like smoking, the breeze will take it away. The staff was amazing, always smiling and did thekr best to make me laugh. They were patient and provided some good suggestions. Playlist was also decent, I guess they could add a few more songs with tropical vibes as the songs were quite basic to be called "Aruba" but this is really just optional. I had an amazing time here and i'd come again when I come back to Bournemouth.

Dined here on Monday 17th June. Food was shockingly bad and overpriced, service lacking even though there was only 1 other table eating. I paid £17.50 for the worst poke bowl I have ever eaten. I don’t usually complain but I couldn’t believe how many problems arose from 1 simple order - the bowl first came out with salmon instead of tofu, this was then switched out (would bother some vegans), the dish had NO SAUCE/FLAVOUR WHATSOEVER - I had to ask for some soy sauce so I wasn’t just eating flavourless raw tofu plain rice and veg, then realised smashed avocado was missing from the dish (my sister asked for it for me, because I already felt awkward about fussing at this point), and then the cherry on the cake was when the bill came out with a £22 salmon poke bowl which I had to rectify (not something I like doing). The rice was also not sticky rice as advertised but the least glutenous, least fluffy, untasty boil-in-a-bag like rice. The thing that saved it was a mini sriracha I carry with me, and the fact I was hungry. The waitress was apologetic but for the high prices plus 10% service charge this is just unacceptable. Our waitress was also rather aloof- despite the lack of customers she rarely walked past close enough to call for, as if avoiding us. She also forgot to put a guacamole and chips order through and a side slaw, despite noting these down. However I largely blame the chef for our disappointing dinner. How are you not embarrassed to serve up a completely flavourless, sauceless poke bowl at that price? As for the other dishes we ordered - the stir-fried noodles with prawns was overwhelming sweet and had 5 small prawns for £22.50, and the vegan cheese on a pizza cost us an extra £4! You don’t get these rip off prices in London! We don’t mind paying luxury prices for great food and service but Aruba fell way short. My 1 star goes to the extensive cocktail menu, sea views, party vibes. Also has a “Kid’s Korner” with games for kids. All in all wouldn’t come back ever again, even for a fraction of the price.

Lunch menu fish and chips were absolutely amazing! Well the fish was. The chips were undercooked but if they were done right I'm sure they would've tasted great too. My partner had the Mac n Cheese which she loved too. And by the way. What a damn beautiful view! So glad this place had a balcony. Staff were attentive and helpful, their Coke tasted great and quite fast service. The actual restaurant and bar area was lovely by design. Edit: Decided to meet some family here and have some food and drinks etc. Had the same food as last time, the fish was delicious and the chips were nicely cooked. Most of staff were good but we then ordered another round of drinks which when brought over, the pinot Grigio was thrown over me and my phone and my wallet. I was literally soaked, my shoes and feet were dripping. I had just bought a brand new white shirt which got soaked too. We were given blue roll to dry my shoes and feet with and we had to move tables. I couldn't wash off or shower because we were heading back home in a few hours after being on holiday. We didn't have a hotel to go back to and clean up. I stunk of Pinot Grigio all day. I didn't even have a spare pair of clothes. Now usually I'd let it slide but given the circumstances it was very frustrating and my new top is stained. I know these things happen but the annoying thing was, I felt there was no interest in compensating us for the inconvenience. Paid full price for everything and just a sorry was all we really got. So yeah really ruined my last day of my holiday. This has gone from a 4 star to 2 stars.

Visited this place today to see family and catch a bit of the air show. The atmosphere was chilled, the staff were friendly too. Nice and clean and dog and children friendly during the day, what is nice. I ordered a pineapple, lemonade and a slice of orange, a pint cost £3:00, I then asked if they had any nibbles like crisps, they said no, but the closest thing would be a portion of chips, so I said yer go for it, the total bill being after to £8:00. That makes the bowl of chips to be the most expensive chips I've brought in a food establishment. I jokingly said they must be amazing for that price and the guy replied "why yes they are" They arrived in good time but not what I was expecting for £5:00. Tasted a bit like fast food fries, and a very small portion too, I've enclosed a photograph, so you tell me, does it look like a £5:00 bowl of chips. I think not. Lol. But I will say the few chips we got were cooked okay, but I could get more for my money at Mcdonalds. I think they need to review their prices and portion sizes because its put me off eating here again.

Visited on Monday 17th May both for the brunch and for drinks in the evening. Especially in the morning, the service was slow. The food is average at best, but the prices are high. In the evening I came back for drinks, ordered a tequila shot and was given a shot with screws in it. I was quite intoxicated at that point, so I did not check the shot glass and (+the lime in the tequila shot prevented me from seeing the screws) before I drank it, but luckily I did not swallow the screws!! I went to complain and basically I was laughed at. I told the management that I could have been seriously injured and the response was: ”well you are not”! Fantastic 🤷🏼♀️ Avoid... or check your shots before you drink them!

If you are looking for a restaurant where your mouth will watering than this is it. You pay a little bit more in this restaurant, but the quality is so high that it worth for it. Also, they still running Help Out Eat Out up to £10 per person until the end of the September. So if you haven't been here, than this is your chance. Help out Eat out is only from Monday to Wednesday. I would like to add, that staff is very friendly and if you get a table on balcony . You will have a nice view on the beach. Hopefully, this review will help other people who can't decide which restaurant will choose. They also have a kids menu too. I can recomend to you Southern fried chicken and Salmon. Both is on the grill.
