My partner and I popped in a couple of weeks ago, and was able to get a table straight away as it was very quiet. We were blown away by the delicious food and service was good. We had 7 dishes and couldn’t fault any of them. One particular favourite was the ribs. We told friends and family about how great Bodega was and recommended they go. We decided to book a table for 6 this evening to celebrate a birthday. It appeared to be a full house tonight and we looked forward to our party trying this great food, however it wasn’t to be we were so disappointed the food was not upto standard especially the ribs, on our first visit they were meaty with plenty on the bone and in a rich reddy sauce, tonight’s they hardly had any meat on the bone and ladden with a dark almost black sauce tasting completely different than our first visit. The octopus was tough and chewy, the tomato salads all looked and tasted different. The dates with cheese were overpowering and couldn’t be eaten. How can the food be so good one visit and not so great the next? The service was questionable the staff were clearly struggling to keep up, our waitress asked us 3 times what drinks we were waiting for after waiting 25 mins for all our drinks to arrive. We decided against asking for desert menu. Not sure if we would...

Bodega Sunset Cruise is advertised as a bottomless Cava cruise. We paid £60 per head in advance to find that after setting off, we were offered only Prosecco, without any advance warning. This is a straightforward misrepresentation that is both baffling and ruined our evening; if we had known Cava was not being offered we would not have booked the trip. Why a Spanish themed restaurant would substitute a vastly inferior Italian product is beyond comprehension. My complaint was met with a polite apology but no offer of compensation, which would have been a more reasonable response. We have had many happy evenings at Bodega with friends and family, so we are particularly...

I booked a private cheese & wine tasting with Bodega for my friend’s hen do back in April and I can highly recommend them. They came to my home, they provided everything needed and we had such a fun night. Considering it was Andy’s first hen do he came across really calm and confident and made it really interesting. He brought 3 different wines, perfectly paired with 3 different cheeses and there was plenty of both to go round for 3 generous glasses per person - definitely worth the money. It’s definitely something we’d like book again. Thank you Andy & the...

Had been meaning to pop into Bodega for a while now and just happened to head in for a glass of wine whilst out with a friend one evening. I loved it. They had a great band on which was playing 30s prohibition/speakeasy music, very funky. The wine was simply superb, the sharer boards delicious, and the ambience great. Megan the owner was very friendly and welcoming. I shall definitely be heading back...

I love it when a place is exactly how it looks. Passed this place many times and it always looked like a nice place to go and had a good atmosphere Service was a+. The lady serving us was attentive and gave us the best table. The guy cooking the food was super friendly. Think his name was tony. We wasn't sure what to have so we ordered lots. The portions were massive and have some real flavour

A lovely wine/cocktail Tapas bar in a quiet street just off Christchurch High Street. We popped in late one evening for drinks and a bite to eat and really liked the place. It's recently under new management and that seems to be working well. Try the rosemary manchenco cheese it's amazing with the special quince jelly. It's a relaxed vib, lovely service and we'll priced food and drinks.
