We visited here over Easter weekend and the whole experience was a disaster! I understand it was a busy weekend and we had expected longer wait times but this does not excuse the attitude, customer service and experience we had. Originally we were told there was a 10 minute wait to be seated, which was fine as we wanted to order drinks first but as we walked to the "bar" area, we were informed that we could not order drinks until we had a table... The wait actually ended up being 25 minutes. When we eventually were shown to a table, it hadn't been cleaned since the last customers, we requested for the staff to clean the table and the man who cleaned the table wiped all the previous customers crumbles onto my dress. After another long we wait we were finally able to order food and drinks, at this point there were only 3/4 other tables filled. We ended up waiting over 25 minutes for our drinks to arrive, and when they did our glasses hadn't been washed as their was lipsticks marks on the rims, one from our group ordered a pina colada and it was warm? At this point we collectively decided we would not be dinning here because of the lack of service and hygiene standards. We asked for our ordered to be cancelled, which they did agree with after a bit of back forth. However we were still charge for the drinks which we hadn't touched!! I wouldn't return back here as we didn't even get an apology or them accepting responsibility...
Read moreDined here yesterday and really enjoyed it. Previous to yesterday we visited in 2016, and we thought the food was nice then, so why not revisit. We got to Blackpool at 1200 and tried to make a reservation however it’s a first come first serve basis. We returned at 1630 and managed to get a table. The atmosphere is very relaxed, very child friendly. If you have a pushchair a member of staff comes out with a bicycle lock to lock your Pram up so it’s safe, just remember to removed your valuables. The staff are on the ball and very friendly. The bar and grill is pirate themed and dotted around the diner are flat screens playing the pirates of the Caribbean movies. Children eat free all day every day. Despite us having a child I would still strongly recommend dining here as a couple. I had the hanging chicken kebab and my partner had the surfer burger. Both our meals were very tasty, my son had sausage, chips and beans which was a decent size. There’s plenty of drinks and cocktails to choose from, also the menu is divided and there’s a vegetarian option. The only thing which I think let’s it down is the menu doesn’t have a great deal to choose from however we had more or less decided what we were going to have before we went in. There are also two other diners inside Coral Island which we may...
Read moreIt was a busy day and not many staff were available so I was willing to forgive any long wait times.
sigh
It took around twenty minutes to ask us what drinks we wanted, which was fine, whatever; it at least allowed us enough time to choose what food we wanted without the server having to come around twice.
But then it was a looong wait for the food. I would have been okay with this—if it wasn't for what I'm about to detail below.
One family arrived ten minutes after we did and another not long after that.
The second family came in, sat down, ordered and got their food all within twenty minutes or so—AFTER we had arrived. The first family received their food only seconds after we did.
Another family right next to us got their food within twenty minutes as well. We weren't even a large group, there was just two of us.
I would have been okay with the long wait for the food if it wasn't for the fact that ONLY affected us.
Oh, and when I complained to them over Facebook Messenger (which seems to be the only way to contact them) I only got back an automated (felt like it anyway) message about reservations not being available.
So yeah. The food is good here and the atmosphere is really...
