Creams Cafe Bournemouth City Centre — Restaurant in England

I visited here on 13/06/2021 with my boyfriend and expected to go in and have some ice cream and leave happily. Instead we received rude customer service and attitude. We placed an order for two sundaes, one being a cookie dough sundae which was clearly stated to the lady taking our order, and also a coffee. I specifically asked "do you serve coffee here?" and was told yes, I asked "can you do it with ice in?" and was told yes, I then went on to confirm again "so you can make me an iced coffee?" and was told yes. I believe it was clear enough what I was asking. My boyfriend and I then proceeded to sit down and wait for our order. After about 5 minutes a lady approached us with a milkshake and cookie dough (not the sundae) in hand, we turned her down as this was not our order. I watched her wander around confused on whose order she was holding until the staff behind the counter told her it was for us, and thus she attempted to give it to us again. At this point she was stood at our table still holding the food, and another staff member was speaking to us from behind the counter asking for our order. We explained clearly that we ordered two sundaes, to which she replied asking if we ordered the cookie dough which we replied to with yes (meaning the cookie dough sundae). She then rudely raised her voice at my boyfriend and yelled "so why did you turn it away if its yours?" He apologized and accepted the cookie dough, thinking it was his fault and this must be his order because surely the staff are competent enough to get our order right, surely if they are yelling at us then we must be in the wrong. After contemplating this, we got up and decided to confront the staff member. First, I asked about the coffee and explained that I did not order the milkshake I had been given, to which she replied saying I actually ordered the coffee flavored milkshake. It is fair to say that I misunderstood if they were able to serve me coffee, however as stated before I asked clearly if they could serve me a coffee with ice and was told yes, which i explained to the staff member. She replied with a snarky comment about how "this is not a Starbucks, we do it as a milkshake here." I accepted this as a misunderstanding and moved onto explain that we actually ordered the cookie dough sundae which they were happy to make for us with no extra charge. They were kind to replace the cookie dough with what we actually ordered, and it is fair to say I misunderstood what coffee they serve, however the rudeness was unnecessary given that it was a misunderstanding mostly on their behalf. We were clear about what we wanted when ordering and if the staff member who served us was confused, then it was their duty to double check what we meant. Very bad abusive service from the manager Paul or Paulo from Portugal.I wanted to choose an ice cream for my 4 year old son who had a christian birthday today.Paulo refused me to choose an ice cream from the ice cream fridge as i could not stand in front of glass ice cream fridge and observe the ice cream.I needed to choose it from the menu by their policy which he refused to provide me as well.I supposed to sit at the table and choose from the menu where there are no pictures of ice creams from the fridge.I have asked for the manager but he told he was a manager with no badge of his name and the position he was on.He told me that I was rude to him but I just asked why i could not choose the ice cream from the fridge.He told me he was not going to serve me and my little child 4 years old,he asked me to leave the premises, otherwise he would call the police.i said he could call the police as i had done nothing wrong.We were waiting for the police but he has lied.3 people came inside and were standing by the ice cream fridge 5 min.I have asked him why they could stand there and I could not.He told me because they were not eating in.No common sense at all.I have asked him to provide his name so I could write a complain.He said it was oblidged to do so.He called the security but nobody turned up.I have asked for his name again but he was calling the police again.This time he mentioned his name.I have written down his name and left the cafe absolutely devasteted as i only wanted to choose an ice cream for...

I visited Creams Café Bournemouth today to celebrate the end of the school year with my daughter – a special moment we wanted to mark with some ice cream and waffles. Unfortunately, the visit was ruined by the unacceptable behaviour of one of the staff members.

A young waitress brought over my mint milkshake and dropped it on the table, spilling part of it. My daughter’s school diploma was on the table at that moment and almost got ruined. The staff member didn’t even apologise, nor did she offer to replace the drink.

Instead, she returned with a wet cloth, carelessly wiped the table, and then – shockingly – wiped the plastic cup of my shake with that same dirty cloth and just walked away. I was appalled. When I told her the drink needed to be replaced and that a simple apology would be the bare minimum, she looked at me with attitude.

After quite some time, she brought a new shake (having served other customers in the meantime) – again, with no apology whatsoever.

This is not the level of hygiene, professionalism, or customer care anyone should expect from a place like Creams. Very disappointing, especially on a day that was supposed to...
