This place is incredible. We came here last night on a whim as we live close by and for ages we didn't know it was here. However so glad we found it! What a little gem! It has to be one of the best Italian restaurants I've ever eaten at in the UK by far. It is so authentic and all the food you can tell is homemade, so fresh and clearly made with love. Every course was just to die for and you have to try the tiramisu! I've only ever had one as good as that which was in Italy and it was an old family recipe in a little restaurant from an old man's Nonna, which I've never forgotten. This Tiramisu was just as good! Also my partner said the cheesecake was the best cheesecake he's ever eaten too! Every course though was just delicious!! The pasta was just beautiful and the bruschetta..wow. My fiancé also loved his Calzone. It has a feel to it in there too with the decor, like I was sitting in a restaurant in Milano. The staff were so lovely and welcoming, friendly and helpful. Constantly smiling and happy to greet you. We will definitely be back. Thank you Vicolo! You have found some new favourite customers!

Beautiful place with an amazing atmosphere (they play Italian music). They have two floors, so they are able to accommodate parties. They also have a very small outside area with a couple of tables and chairs, it does remind me Italy. The food is really good, very tasty and fresh. It's an Italian restaurant with an Italian chef and staff. It can go wrong. Food it's a properly Italian food. I went on the valentines day for dinner and it's was a really romantic atmosphere with a beautiful decoration. Definitely recommend this place. 👌🏼 I will be going back soon. P.S. We had olives and bruschetta as startars, afterwards calzoni fritti and lasagne as main course. He had also homemade desserts which they were very delicious. Prices are very affordable.

Sea food share plater 1 out of 10 Sea bass dry, calamari dry without calamari, just flour and some water in deep oil, prawns kind of ok, sauce 4 out of 10. Chips… XXXX me, 0/10 someone just put the chips on, cold oil and after just burn them to XXXX. Clazone Classic 2/10 Calzone Fritto 1/10 the worst calzone ever ! Who had that brilliant idea to put that way too salty ham inside? Isn’t ham? Or something way more salty than English bacon? The best out of the restaurant was service and margarita pizza 7 out of 10, just simply not classic, no spice oil available. All calzone, way, way too salty, classic nearly without lovely tomatoes sauce. Service - well, lady was very good, but overall food as a Italian cousin, shame on you!

My family and I visited the restaurant tonight after reading all of the great reviews, however this was the complete opposite experience for us. I am not one to complain, but I feel I have to express my complete dissatisfaction on this occasion. When we arrived, we were not greeted by any staff, so seated ourselves at the allocated named table. We then had to wait a good 15 minutes to be hosted by anyone to be given menus. A while after, we had to get up and ask someone to please come and take our drinks order. We decided at this point to not waste any more time and give our food orders. After 2 hours of being in the restaurant, we had only been offered one drink and had our starter. At this point, again, we had to leave the table to ask where our mains was. May I note here that, when our starter plates were finally removed from the table 1.5 hours after eating, we was asked if we would like our desert menu!! I explained we hadn’t even had our mains! When the food eventually came out after 2 hours, we had to send a dish back as it was so cold, you would think they had waited to defrost the meatballs before they made it. They also gave us another tables meal by mistake (we didn’t know this) of which then after we had to endure that table speaking terribly about us, as If it was our fault - we had by coincidence ordered the same dishes-this obviously wasn’t explained to the other table as the were completely vulgar about us within ear shot. The food was average at the most - what did come out. Tables that arrived after us all came and left while we were sat there patiently waiting. After we complained, the manager was apologetic and did discount our food by 20% & offered a discount on future visits. But by that point we had been in the restaurant over 2.5 hours and were just fed up & unfortunately would never return. Utterly disappointed. The customer service needs some attention, lacking in hosting skills. It shouldn’t take someone to complain to get any attention and we absolutely shouldn’t have to prompt a waitress to offer us drinks. I personally only had ONE drink in the whole 2.5 hours. Sadly, the worst experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant. However, on a brighter note, they do appear to take allergy’s...

My visit to Vicolo Restaurant was an unforgettable dining experience that left me wanting to return for more. From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, I was greeted with warm hospitality and an inviting ambiance, setting the perfect stage for a delightful meal.

The stars of the show was undoubtedly the "Impepata di Cozze, Calamari and Gamberi." As a lover of seafood, this dish was a dream come true. The mussels, calamari, and prawns were cooked to perfection, tender and succulent with a burst of flavor in every bite.

The chef's expertise in seasoning and balance of spices truly elevated the dish to a whole new level, with a delightful peppery kick that added a unique and unforgettable taste.

The "Calzone Classico" was equally impressive, and I must say it was one of the best calzones I've ever had. The crust was perfectly baked, and crispy on the outside, while the inside was generously filled with a delectable combination of cheese, sauce, and Italian ham. Each bite was a harmonious blend of flavors to savor every moment.

What sets Vicolo Restaurant apart is not just the exceptional food, but also the attentive and friendly service. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu, providing helpful recommendations and ensuring that all my dining needs were met. Their passion for the cuisine and dedication to providing an enjoyable experience was evident throughout my visit.

The restaurant's atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with a touch of Italian charm that transported me to the streets of Italy. It was the perfect setting for a relaxed and enjoyable meal, whether dining with friends, family,...

I am writing to express my appreciation for the exceptional quality of the food and service that I experienced during my recent visit to your restaurant in Bournemouth. In particular, I wanted to highlight the deliciousness of your Parmigiana and Focaccia, which were undoubtedly some of the best I have ever tasted. The Parmigiana was cooked to perfection, with layers of tender eggplant, rich tomato sauce, and creamy mozzarella cheese. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the dish was presented beautifully. It was clear that a lot of thought and care had gone into its preparation. Similarly, the Focaccia was absolutely delicious. It was soft and fluffy, with a perfect combination of savory and herbaceous flavors. The quality of the ingredients used was evident, and it was clear that a lot of skill and attention to detail had gone into its preparation. Also, the Tiramisu was the best I ever had!

In addition to the outstanding food, I was also impressed by the staff at your restaurant. They were incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived, and their enthusiasm and passion for the food was infectious.

Overall, I cannot recommend your restaurant highly enough. Your Parmigiana, Focaccia, and Tiramisu are truly outstanding, and your staff is a credit to your establishment. Thank you for providing such a wonderful dining experience, and I look forward to visiting your restaurant again...
