Thursdays at The Crescent Bar has become a second home for the modern jive gang in Scarborough. Nathan Badger's event is on most Thursdays and 'Badgers Boogie Bonanza' is his latest offering. Great live music starts at 8pm featuring old and total gold swingy numbers by the likes of Sinatra and Dean Martin amongst other Kings of the genre. Songs guaranteed to get you onto that dancefloor. And if you don't have a partner there's always someone around to offer you a dance! Also listen out for classics through the decades and join people dancing in couples, strolling, doing the conga or just doing their own thing! Anything goes here! You might share the floor with holidaymakers, locals, students of any age and orientation. Basically the whole world and their dog will feel included in the communal vibe that this event always creates. And six months after it began I must say that every week that I have attended (which is most of them) it is always a fab evening! The atmosphere is amazing, the welcome is wonderful and no Thursday is ever the same because the mix of people is ever- changing, alongside the core of regulars. The Management and staff behind the bar are always friendly, helpful to the max and join in to make it a safe and fun space for everyone involved. And if you are interested in learning new dance moves, there are often free mini tutorials at 7pm before the show to get you in the dancing mood. I would recommend that you check the Facebook page for up to date event information for this and all their other weekly and monthly events as they have a...
Read moreBeing to the Crescent Lounge on a few occasions now, either as a family, with friends or with my husband. We have come for small plates which was all amazing and fresh and very well priced, portions sizes were perfect( not a tiny amount were you are still starving, but not over faced by cheap food) We then as a family made the decision to come for chrismtas day, which was my first ever meal out, and we have decided we will now come every second year for our christmas meal. Music and Events are always brilliant down at the Cresent, actually seems to be the only place in Scarborough to go now, literally for all ages to. We came down this weekend and saw 3 different acts, atmosphere was brilliant everyone in good spirits, music was outstanding, only down side for me was a couple of middle age people shouting and shaking fists. They did seem to vacate pretty soon after so everyone else then enjoyed themselves. ( they have actually left a review and after seeing there other reviews they have posted it looks like nothing would please them, I would say best thing for them to do is stay at home listen to there own music and eat there own home cooked food, you cant win them all) Looking forward to seeing what else the Cresent has to offer all of us, and I can't wait to sit out in there garden with a cocktail and sunshine.
Well done Sadie...

The band asked the morons to stop but fell on death ears (probably because they were shouting that loud they couldnt hear the duo)
I would suggest any bands in future NOT to book this venue as the idiots talking dont...
