Wednesday 13th July 2020 i came yet again to this grear Scarborough real ale pub This pub is an Emporium for real ale drinkers over 18 years. When i come to Scarboroughi, always make sure i have a good few in this great CAMRA pub Really good atmosphere in hrre locals and holiday makers and cricket fan's love this excellent ale pub Tuesday 25th July 2023 I again revisited this great Scarborough real ale pun Not far from local train and bus station, it still has a great atmosphere inside it, and as before, a host of well-kept delicious handpumped ales on offer Monday 4th September 2023 We again came into this great real ale pub This place has not in any changed its essential visit for real ale when in scaborough Monday 24th June 2024 Yet again, when i came into this great real ale pub, I was not disappointed. Great staff, great local, and yorkshire cricket fans in this great friendly public house in Scarborough. This pub today had 9 grand hand pumped ales on, and it is an essential visit that real ale drinkers must drink in when in Scarborough Tuesday22nd July 2025 This pub which is scarboroughs best real ale pub was again visited by me today This visit this friendly local had a plethera of hand pulled ales on as always. Last week my wife Theresa and I went on a mini break in Scarborough and being a fan of real cask ale googled to see what was available. Found two pubs and didn't need to look further. The closest to our hotel Scholar's was the stand out of the two. It is a sports bar with loads of tv screens but with no volume, just background music. The choice of perfectly kept beers was wonderful and the owner Danny made us feel so welcome. Both he and all the bar staff were so friendly and after a couple of days we were on first name terms. On our last day a Thursday we were advised that being quiz night there would be no seating room because all tables were reserved for the quiz. Although it was busy the atmosphere was amazing and we were thoroughly entertained watching the quiz and the rugby league Danny put on after I requested it earlier in the afternoon. We were also brought seats by regulars doing the quiz. It was quite sad on Thursday that it was our last night. If you go anywhere in Scarborough for a few drinks in pleasant surroundings you must go here. Hopefully we will return, Thanks Danny for your hospitality, you made our week. John...

From my point of view, I really enjoyed watching the Rugby 6 Nations. They are very few pubs locally that celebrate this great game, so it was an absolute pleasure to be able to spend time with those that appreciate this great sporting event. Brilliant atmosphere. I was the designated driver so I can't comment on the beer but my partner who is a real ale drinker was very impressed with the quality of it. He said that the landlord knows how to look after it and said it was the best beer he's had in Scarborough. So that is praise indeed. We'll be back in the not too distant future to enjoy more rugby union...
