So I have been working away from home 5 days a week for months on end, the only decent meals I get is when I return home on a weekend, due to lockdown restrictions my labourer and myself have been forced to live on greasy takeaways for what feels like forever whilst building new houses for your comunity to live in, so when the restrictions got lifted you can imagine all I was looking forward to is finishing work and eating a meal that does not consist of kebabs or pizza. As soon as you opened your doors to the public we booked a table, since I have enjoyed a variety of your meals including the pulled pork burger which did leave my labourer and myself with upset stomachs the morning after. That aside dining at your pub has been a pleasant experience (given the weather)- all up untill Monday night. We did our usual routine, finished work jumped in the shower changed into clean clothes and headed for our table which was reserved for 6:30-7pm on arriving we was greeted by a unfamiliar bar maid/waitress, a young woman dark hair early to mid 30s no hellos or how Can I help you, instead she greeted me with a bad attitude and let me tell you for free the first words out of her patronising mouth was "sorry you're not getting in here wearing them BABE!"... my response "well we've been coming here 5 nights a week for 2 weeks now and the other ladies haven't said a peep" her response "can't its more than my jobs worth" well I'm assuming speaking to customers in this manner isn't exactly securing her job as I would have gave instant dismissal! "Babe" wow what a way to speak to paying customers. Now if it was my first time here I would have brushed it off with the barmaid just wanted to feel important for 5 minutes but we obviously have been inside before, we basically walk through the tap room and into a busy beer garden/smoking area to be seated, nothing fancy about your place or exclusive like I've dined in and drank in plenty of times back home. Your other staff on the other hand have been more than helpful and friendly over the past 2 weeks so we was left scratching our heads as to why the rule of dress code all of a sudden??? We are away from home working knee deep in motar all day so the last thing we want to be wearing is a suit and tie to go sit in a beer garden. We was wearing sports/casual wear and hasn't posed a issue before now? We are not coming to your pub for a booze up we are literally starving when we get here and was sent away starving monday night we didn't manage to get our teas while after 9 all thanks to your barmaid/waitress with her stinking attitude and unprofessional manner. We are just 2 working lads wanting our dinners, so please enlighten me as to this sudden change in rules and attitudes, I will say one thing we won't be...

So management need to look at this. The garden in certain areas had rubbish old dried up hanging baskets and carrier bags throw to one side, a 2 min job to tidy up!. Then a dark haired girl came to the rescue ( or so we thought all we saw of her was behind the bar on her phone!!!!!) Tables still not cleared or cleaned 5-30 then about 6 a flurry of activity the 2 girls previously mentioned came out with a urgency not seen before were followed by two blonde ladies (thank god ) and the tables were cleared in no time. Management need to put one of these blond ladies on shift when ever the dark haired girl is on, it may motivate her to GET OFF HER PHONE. Can't comment on food as we didn't eat but few meals we saw looked nice...
ย ย ย Read moreHad this place recommended .... We were given a table Saturday 6.15pm...waiter was straight on us for our drinks not an issue though ... took our food order 5 mins later .... approaching 7pm we enquired how long our food might be?!? We were told ours should be next out yet if not we would get a free drinks for the delay ...( nobody told us it was an hour wait for food ?!?) Finally it arrived another 15 minutes later minus cutlery ๐ another 5 minutes later cutlery arrived . Food was spot on albeit the long wait .... nobody came to the table after that - nobody asked if our food was ok, nobody asked if we wanted any desserts and nobody cleared our dirty plates from our table , even though glasses were cleared from adjacent tables ! Food is lovely but the table service and lack of attentive staff make it one to avoid . We had to get the later train back to Leeds rather than the earlier one we...
