Great British Fish & Chips — Restaurant in England

For six adults we've all agreed Probably, no, DEFINITELY the WORST fish and chips EVER!!!!! Only one real choice of fish, Cod, unless you count Scampi. The Cod was so small, under cooked and coated in a batter that was more like deepfried sponge cake than batter. We couldn't even eat the fish with the batter removed. £4.20 for the EACH fish that ended up in the bin. The chips at £2.00 weren't much better, small chip ends with only 5 actual chips. £2.00! They saw us coming. We visit Bournemouth regularly, bjt this'll be the first and last time we visit this dump. If your tempted, don't, turn and run in the opposite direction. I'll be honest, not great, it was a Saturday night which you would expect to be busy and was! I used to manage a chippy, we'd have have atleast 5-6 fish cooked and on show at every given moment knowing it's going to sell, same goes for chips, sadly great British fish and chips was actually halal meat and just to get sausage and chips took us 40 minutes, there were people pushing In and getting served because they were loud as well, so all other customers who'd been there almost an hour waiting for 2 fish and chips had been pushed aside and forgotten about, we were asked 3 times what our order was, food didn't taste great at all and sadly will not be returning. The owner was super rude just because we said fish and chips should be sold together or else he should reduce the price as the fish are very small and thin. He started shouting “have you ever own a restaurant or do you know how much it costs to maintain one?” Loudly saying this ain’t your shitty south end! Then he started verbally attacking my partner who just said we get a lot of good deals in fish and chips on other seaside areas. We were very very polite till the end. But the food, service, waiting time everything was disgusting! This was the very first place we stopped after arriving to Bournemouth and they ruined our day...
