Jade Garden — Restaurant in England

This is our usual takeaway and usually enjoy it but last night we waited 2 and a half hours for the food to arrive! I phoned after 2 hours and told it was on the way and they was busy and had added some 'extra' free items to apologise for the delay. Waited another half hour and called again to be told the same that it was on the way, the lady was very apologetic and friendly on the phone (kelly) but I pointed out it was now 9.40pm and I had work early and don't usually eat this late. Finally the food arrived and the salt and chilli chicken was terrible. It was so dry and rock hard we couldn't eat it so 2 portions ended up in the bin! They had clearly forgot our order and when they finally sent it out it was less than acceptable. And the 'free items' were 2 cans of drink. Extremely annoyed as we had spent £30 inc £5 delivery fee. Usually the food is very good but 2.5 hour wait for food that is inedible is not acceptable. Most of the food went straight in the bin.

Was also told on the phone to tell them next time that we can have a discount but I'm not sure we will order again after last night. Ended up going to bed hungry and angry and having to get up early for work. Very unfortunate as not many good places around here for Chinese. Would rather the lady on the phone was honest with us at my first phone call as they clearly hadn't sent our food out and I said they should've called me about such...

Over my years on this planet I've had more Chinese meals than is possible to remember 😂 so going to another is no surprise. Jade Garden was round the corner from us and we decided to sit in the restaurant and have a good nosh up ☺ we were welcomed by a very happy and lovely lady who was quite possibly the most polite person we met during our stay in Weymouth ☺ Our food arrived piping hot in pretty much 5 minutes from ordering and all of it was absolutely delicious. I have to take the time to give a special mention to the coconut rice! that was just fantastic and I couldn't get enough! Good value, great service, and very tasty food. I used their take away service and normally i get a roast duck peking style which is nice. But this time i ordered Chicken Chop Suey which was disgusting. It was not Chicken Chop Suey it was Chicken in a Sweet and Sour Sauce. When i told the girl on the phone, she appologized but said that was how they make it. Rather confused I said again that it is not a chop suey. She then told me the chef uses the sweet and sour sauce and puts some ketchup in it to make it a chop suey ???? They really need to get a new chef or at least describe their food better. It ruined my...
