Came across this lovely little place this evening and was delighted by the space and most of all the music. However, our wonder was cut short as soon as soon we had sat down.

Although the food and drinks were lovely, the service was below par. We had to wait at least 30 minutes to order and although food came quick drinks were very very slow. It then seemed impossible to get any more service.

The cherry on the cake was when we had ordered our last drinks, waited 30 minutes, to then be told when we asked that they were busy (with only 5 other tables in) and they would be coming soon. It turned out that they were not aware of our order as he came back to take them again. Which after waiting another 10 minutes we decided to cancel the order and end our night.

We then ordered our bill and waited a further 15 minutes whilst the waiter brought chairs in from outside to which we had to go and find someone working, who then brought over a bill and had charged us for the drinks we never even got (or ordered according to the other waiter).

Overall we paid £100 for such a poor experience which left us feeling very low. With this being our first special outing since the lockdown was lifted we were very disappointed and will not be returning again which is a shame, as the place had lots...

Honestly tonight's experience wasn't amazing, the wait staff were lovely I couldn't fault their customer service the food however..... This wasn't amazing. Me and my partner ordered the steak and frites for her and the steak and blue cheese sandwich and a side order of sweet potato fries. Honestly having worked in hospitality and as a chef when I saw the simple menu and write up on the quality of their meats etc I had high expectations. If you go simple make your ingredients shine. It's really that simple. My expectations were not met. We waited 25 mins for food to arrive(it really wasn't busy enough to warrant that long of a wait) , both steaks were very tough, my partners was over done and under seasoned I was not even asked how I wanted my steak so that wasn't an option, an to be quite honest it had a very funky flavour to it which disagreed with my palette. I like blue cheese roasted peppers etc but honestly for me the combo didn't work not to mention the sandwich was due to cost me essentially £10 which I feel is honestly over priced for a sandwhich and a small bowl of crisps. My girlfriend and I went on Valentines night and got the 3 course set menu for £20 and it was amazing! I had the prawns to start, although well decorated the food itself was a little thin on the ground, however my girlfriend's goats cheese salad was superb. The stuffed chicken for mains acted as a safe option, but was served deliciously with a crisp skin and moist inner. The pan fried sea bass was also brilliant. Desserts were both superb, my girlfriend had the chocolate brownie, which was very rich and rather moist, served with the most delicious ice creams I've tasted outside of Italy. I opted for the cheese board and was in for a world of surprises. A range of 4 cheeses, all very full of flavor despite lacking in the nose, served with an amazing chutney and all presented well. There is a nice alfresco eating area both upstairs and downstairs, and they double as delightful smoking areas (something that always tickles my fancy).
