LakeSide House Cafe — Restaurant in England

We stopped by LakeSide House Cafe a few times on our trip to Keswick and enjoyed each of our visits! The porridge is very tasty and was great fuel ahead of a big run. Also had the Eggs Benedict another day which I enjoyed as well.

Their terrace is a lovely little sun trap which is the perfect place to relax with a cold drink after a long day of hiking or running. Amazing spot for food and drinks in Keswick. Menu is extensive and everything looked appealing for breakfasts, brunch or lunch. Currently only open Friday-Sunday but was easy to find a seat either outside on the peaceful terrace or inside, where there was plenty of space. Given the scrummage of people in the town centre it was nice to find somewhere 2 minutes walk away that didn’t require waiting in line. We ended up having drinks on the terrace in the sun while people watching - great way to spend an afternoon...

We spent a luxurious weekend at Holly & Ivan’s beautiful Lakeside House. The room was a palace; grand, spacious and very comfortable. They are the best hosts I’ve had the pleasure of staying with. Friendly, welcoming and wonderful company! The cafe is excellent, with a great variety of drinks and food. I’m vegan and was fully catered for. You can’t put a price on such excellent hospitality so your stay here will be great...
