The New Philly Family Bar — Restaurant in England

While staying in Blackpool for mine and my daughter’s birthdays, we went looking for a family sports bar to watch the Belgian F1 on Sunday 27th July (we’re big F1 fans!). We popped into The New Philly Family Bar in the morning to check if they’d be showing the race, and the friendly barman reassured us it would be on, no problem at all.

After grabbing some lunch, we returned to find the F1 playing on multiple screens, exactly as promised. The atmosphere was welcoming, the drinks were great value, and the barman (I wish I’d caught his name!) was absolutely top-notch. A real friendly, accommodating man.

When the race was delayed by a heavy downpour, there was a slight overlap with the start of the Women’s Football Final. The barman stood his ground, making it clear over the radio that the majority of guests were there for the F1, and ensured we all got to watch without interruption. A big thank you for that, it made the afternoon for us!

Great prices, great service, and a great atmosphere, the only thing off-putting was the toilets need some attention. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Blackpool. Highly recommend for any sports fans looking for a family-friendly spot. We did only visit the upstairs bar and didn't set foot downstairs so I do not know what...

Today July 26th 2022 at 10.18 am Could a day start so bad?

We were served yesterday's breakfast of 50p cold canned beans, boiled rashers, Yesterday's shrivelled mushrooms, a hard fried hashbrown, a huge soggy boiled and peeled tomato, a funny tasting sausage like it was a vegie sausage from frozen and defrosted 10 times before cooking, a cappuccino (the worst coffee I ever had it tasted like shoe and dirty carpet juice) made at the back and sugar put in it for us as they could not give us the sugar to put ourselves, a glass of water that had a bathtub water taste, with a perfectly fried egg and perfect toast.

We were super excited about having an English breakfast. We were the only 3 to walk in there was a lady at the bar, she gave us a buzzer that will let us know our food was ready and we could come collect it... 3 PEOPLE ONLY in the bar. Hospitality and customer service was out the window. I am not one to waste food so I ate 70% of mine and drank 30% of my coffee. I...

I would have give this place zero star if I could have absolutely Disgrace of please for starters I ordered meals and drinks for family and when short of one of the drink the bar staff said I only ordered one then this other bar staff come and said you only ordered one kids drink and she wasn't even there when I placed my order asked for my Receipt and was refused one and the place smells of Urine at the bar and the ladies toilets DONT EVEN HAVE ANY LOCKS ON THEM ALL BROKEN OFF and let's not forget to mention the mess of the toilets and finally if your looking for some where to go for a nice family meal this is not the place to go children running around all the tables playing chase games and hide and seek well the Parents just sit there and drink alcohol well the staff look and find it funny and last of all the tables absolutely Vibrating with the loud music so your food and drinks are dancing around...
