You know it's going to be a certain type of pub when there are mobility scooters parked outside beneath the pub windows. I love this type of rough and ready boozer though my companions had mixed emotions about entering, I gave them all a quick blast of enthusiasm and we were in. It was full of people at varying levels of drunkenness. There was some karaoke action and someone started doing an awful rendition of Number Of The Beast. We just had to join in and help them destroy it. See the attached photo of us with the singer, he's the one proudly displaying both of his teeth whilst wearing an Iron Maiden t-shirt. There was a great atmosphere in here, though I would say it's not the place for intellectual discussion or seeking attractive members of the opposite sex. Read moreThe pubs not bad tbf, I remember it from the 80’s when it was great, but if you enjoy karaoke, I wouldn’t bother, you need to be hardcore local/regular to be even in with a chance of having a go. We sat here watching the karaoke guy put locals up a few times after being told we couldn’t sing due to him having to many lined up. Oh, by the way, the pub wasn’t even that busy. Don’t think we’ll bother again which is a shame as I have fond memories...
