It’s like someone else mentioned, you really want to like this place, but you can’t as the people consistently let you down. I walk in with enthusiasm, but always walk out feeling like a hindrance due to the poor customer service. These are not one off occasions, I am a local who pops in from time to time and you are barely even acknowledged, and when you are, it’s with about as much enthusiasm as a concrete wall. Today was another occurrence where I stood there for 2-3 minutes with 1 customer in store, 4 females working, and took that long to even be acknowledged. When I was it was head down, “what can I get you?” In a really dismal tone. Following this I was the only customer in store and a fellow gentleman walked in. The same experience happened to him, he was staring waiting, and rolled his eyes he was left waiting that long to even be acknowledged. Again, I say 4 staff were present. I really hope Ricci’s do something to elevate the customer experience as you have a great opportunity to create a workplace culture to be proud of. Right now, you’re letting the people down by the way you make them feel. It’s not all about the food, it’s about how you engage with others and make them feel. That’s the secret to successful business. If I was made to feel welcome and acknowledged, I’m sure I would visit more often. If you are the owner reading this, please understand we want you to do well, I just hope you can motivate your teams to do...
Read moreI was there in December buying a Xmas present, a small Italian sweet pastry. It was my first time there. There is so many different choices, chocolate, pasta , biscuits, chutneys etc. While I was browsing the shop, I noticed the deli was very busy too. There were lots of people ordering/ waiting for there sandwich or rolls whatever they were getting ( that has to be a good sign, to be popular, people lining up for there , treating themselves on there lunch etc) Even as I was waiting in queue , I could smell something cooking in the background, was lovely. I think your spoilt for choice in here. The staff were very friendly too, helpful, recommend products, good interaction. I will definitely revisit.
My friend I got the cookies/ or pastry treat for , already asked me where I got them. I think if you need a small present or treat for someone, try here. Especially if they like something food related. I would...
Read moreAbsolutely Disgusting. We live on Addison Road and regularly buy from this deli - NEVER AGAIN. They sold a Quiche Lorraine labelled as a vegetarian quiche. When asked they said it was a spinach tart and affirmed it was vegetarian before selling it. After taking it home and eating a few mouthfuls, a large chunk of pork was exposed. As a 35 year vegetarian this was incomparably upsetting. The tart was immediately returned by my nephew, the staff said it had been mislabelled, gave a cursory apology and returned the price of the tart offering no promise of action of any kind. When I telephoned as a follow up, I was told that the food is left out for Sunday and not checked. Nothing about what happened is acceptable and is indicative of the lowest standards of food hygiene and care. I will be reporting them to the Food Standards Authority on Monday. I highly...
