Thai Pad Thai — Restaurant in England

I’ve lived in the neighborhood for 12 months and had never had food from this restaurant. I walked past the other day and saw a leaflet outside advertising 20% off your first online order (collection or delivery). So decided to go for it. I ordered a couple of appetisers, a side dish, and a main dish. A mixture of meat and veg. Overall, I liked the food. It was quite delicious. The portion sizes are generous. There was a lot of chicken in the noodles. I have only two minor criticisms, which are that the main dish was a little heavy on the sauce - but because the sauce tasted good, I didn’t mind - and the fried crispy tofu was a bit dry. But overall, the food was good. 4 stars and I will order again. Also, I collected and it was ready within 10-15 minutes of my order. Friendly staff too. And nice decor inside.

Staff though we're great.

Long wait put me off big time and the food when it came was mediocre. That ruined the whole experience.

I love, love thai food and I lived there years ago , so this was really a big disappointment.

The restaurant itself is really nice, but shame the quality of food (I had thai red curry satay etc.) doesn't do it justice at all. I know they can do much better. That's a real pity.

Maybe I picked a bad night or a chef was ill,or drunk ? It's all subjective,

May give it another visit sometime but there are better and the bitter taste from this venture, probably not.

And that's a crying shame my dear.....

Sorry guys but that llllloooooonnnnggg wait did it for me 😕 and to cap it off the meal was sub par.

There were nice elements but we had a far from perfect meal. The restaurant was empty when we arrived and we were seated immediately and water was offered. We ordered a special mixed starter and a vegetarian mixed starter to share. We got the vegetarian one but then a plate of spring rolls arrived instead of the mixed starter. The mistake was quickly fixed which was fine. Both plates were heavy on thickly battered vegetables but it was all hot and there was a dipping sauce. When it came to mains I had ordered a second beer which arrived promptly but the waiter didn't check if anyone else would like another drink. My tofu salad was fresh and spicy and enjoyable. Two of the group had ordered seafood Pad Thai and both had broken mussel shells in their meals and there was a mussel which hadn't opened. They seemed to enjoy the rest though.
