A fantastic new edition to the cafe scene in Brighton, especially near Seven Dials :D
The place is light, full of plants and life, and so spacious. The seats are comfy and it’s great for working, chatting, and whatever else you fancy. There’s so much sun in the place, and they have a large garden to enjoy the warmer weather. The staff were so lovely, going the extra mile with both friendliness and services.
The flat white I had was mega - creamy, tasty and smooth. I was very surprised actually, one of the better coffees I’ve had in Brighton. The food matches this, and so does the selection of cakes…they’re huge haha! The salad (look at me go) was delightful, light but hearty and filling, with seasonal veg, fresh leaves and a juicy chicken thigh. The dressing may have been a touch oily, but nice nonetheless.

It isn’t table service here, so you pay up front when you order at the counter. We were not made aware of long delays in the kitchen as we ordered and paid, which would be standard if a kitchen is backed up.
When we chased our order up after nearly 50 minutes, staff were a little awkward with us and didn’t offer much beyond a cursory ‘sorry’. I expect some of the team haven’t had much experience in the service industry. I was hungry when I arrived and felt unwell by the time food came, so didn’t really enjoy it.
I wouldn’t say that it was extremely overpriced, but I would say that at those prices (£20-30 for a moderate single portion and a drink) I would expect a little better of everything - service,...
Read moreWe came for dinner as we were both huge murmur and 64 degrees fans, and we were not disappointed! Both starters were delicious (whitebait and baby gem with nduja). The mains somehow were even better (roast bream and pasta of the day). Everything was cooked perfectly, with the bream being tender and moist and the whitebait crispy and fresh. The only thing we felt could be improved upon was that the pasta could’ve been served a touch more al dente (but this is very much a matter of preference!). Will definitely be back again soon to try the...
