The Font — Restaurant in England

Myself and my husband and our 14 year old daughter decided to come and watch the football here today and have dinner. My daughter was standing next to me whilst i was playing on the fruit machine she tapped the button for me and we got told that children cannot touch the machine. I then said but she is with me her Mum but it was still not acceptable as we was told this was there rules which I agreed and went to sit back down. Whilst trying to enjoy a quiet drink and dinner we had screaming kids running around the pub as if it was a playground as the parents was just watching on. No staff come up to the parents and told them to calm the children down as they have other people in the pub yet I was told my child could not press a button with me on the machine . The noisy children made it a very bad experience and it seemed there rules was completely ridiculous considering what else was going on around the pub. DOUBLE STANDARDS. Also food took ages and there was loads of dirty tables. Glasses are awlfuly dirty . Not much range in the drinks do they serve here. Toilets are disgusting. Not the best place to eat and drink in Brighton. So many more lovely places than this in brighron. AVOID.

Security have become much too strict. Went in on a saturday night. Was on the dance floor and recorded 2 thirty second clips of my friends singing and dancing to Mr Brightside. 10 minutes later the bouncer tells me he wants to talk to me outside. He said a couple of girls had complained that I had been filming them!!! I told him what had happened and showed him the footage and said how ridiculous it was. He said next time perhaps I should "ask for permission to record" I said "what, i should ask the entire dance floor for permission to film?!" And amazingly he responded "No, the management!". I've not once before been asked to request the managers permission to record friends on the dance floor. It felt like targeted discrimination considering multiple other people were casually filming without issue! It was a complete over reaction and really spoilt the night. Wont be going...

Some of the worst customer service I have ever had the misfortune of experiencing in so short a space of time. The obnoxious and condescending front door manager made it extremely clear that any requests or changes we wanted to make to our pre booked reservation would be neither tolerated nor welcome in tones that suggested that perhaps English was not in fact our first language. He made the whole, all be it brief, experience incredibly uncomfortable and as a result we decided not to drink or eat there. If this is the face of the company, good luck to them. I can't imagine that losing tables of customers will help their business in the current climate. Avoid like the plague, so many other places nearby that don't believe themselves to be standing above you, looking down from a great height whilst deining to assist you by seating...
