The best mom and pop owned fish and chips I ever had. Can’t believe how affordable it was - WITHOUT compromising on taste & quality.

Visited Scarborough for the day and HAD to get a fish and chips. Ended up deciding on this place because everywhere else was extortionate £££

Batter was the perfect crunch - no oily aftertaste. Super light and delicious. Fish was melt in the mouth. Not even a lie. The chips were perfect - not too heavy, we ate in so we got to customise how we wanted them seasoned- which is a +++. Condiments spot on. Mushy peas was exactly what I was after, not gooey, but soft with a good bite, very tasty. Everything was fresh and super light, with small fish & chips being filling enough. And even discussed future veggie options - an extra plus as the owner was passionate about making sure he was doing veggie right & not just the sake of it - massive respect.

Atmosphere was great, very friendly and relaxed. Nice to sit down after a long day away from the bustle. Price - cheapest we found in the entire area!!! If you’re looking for a great classic then avoid the rip off prices at the harbour -...

Went for armed forces day every was rammed, tried princess F&C ... we waited along with everyone else in scarborough a long time to be served as it was so busy. As we got almost to the front we could hear the lady owner arguing with another customer as she had been over charged but owner said the didn't have a 20p to give her she then started telling the male owner but in a foreign language and pointing her out ...it felt very strange and uncomfortable in there. if we hadn't waited so long we would have left ..... oh i wish we left.... the fish was nice and batter was good ..... the battered sausage had exploded in the middle (didn't notice til we had left) ..... the so called hand cut chips from fresh local potatoes were all perfectly uniformed squared sizes that tasted like frozen chips that had been defrosted then cooked in gone off oil and dripping in oil and the breadcakes were dry as if they'd been out for a couple of days ... definitely won't be going...

Worst fish and chips cooked in veg oil didn't look like fresh potatoes more frozen chips deep fried the fish wasn't cod or haddock I'm sure the curry was watery and powder like we spent £30 and left most of it on the table the lady had poor English and was very short in her manner towards customers they advertise fish and chips at £6.49 but if you want to sit in it's an extra £1 per person not advertised and then its extra for a cold drink so a meal cost us £8 and it just wasnt worth the price so many other chippies with much better value and quality of product.Would of asked for refund but didn't think as the lady was busy and didn't seem very...
