Cozy setting and homemade cakes was a perfect end to my icy walk across the Avon Valley path to Christchurch. With seating upstairs and downstairs, quirky decor, and charming feel. It was great to sit with a book, a cup of earl gray and generous slice of ginger cake (£5.50). It would be nice to have had my tea in a pot rather than a mug, however, the offer of extra hot water was a nice touch.

I tried their chai latte. It was very milky and not quite to my preference. I also tried a slice of their lumberjack cake which was unusual, but nice. The staff were so lovely! And their recommendation of cake was appreciated. The café itself is very cute and cosy - it lives up to it’s name! The interior is well decorated and the seating is a beautiful mismatch or sofas and chairs.

What a fantastic gem; full of character and charm. Their vinyl nights sound great but the atmosphere is what really sells it here. This is as far away from corporate homogeny as you can get, and all the more refreshing for it. Great chai latte too and prices are highly competitive. Beer can be bought to take away also at a very good price. Will return.

Terribly cluttered, venue with no space at the Bar/Till because its cluttered with cakes and foods, that are in containers that don't look very clean/ cleaned every night especially during this period with this virus.

Coffee tastes burnt, on the back end like it's been over roasted by the supplier, they did have Oat milk luckly enough. This venue is also ment to run as a bar, but seems pointless to pop in with only 2 Keg lines and 2 BIB railway lines not cask no badges on the lines.

It definitely suits the older generation but the bar / till area needs to be decultered and sorted out, they also have fridges which look like they might no of done Temp Checks on, as most fridges in hospitality have a chat to register fridge and freezer temps, to be honest I would be shock if this venue was rocking anymore the level 1 food hygiene standard.

Beer was served dead, I know that this venue uses BIBs not cask for the ale, but thie beer was far beyond turned. Unfortunately the manageres Jo has no fundamental understanding on hospitality and it shows, as simple processes that most hospitality venues would adhere too and thrown out of the window.

Want good Quality of standard of a venue this isn't the place for you. This venue really needs to get rid of the lackluster management as with Jo in charge nothing...

Right.

You know that feeling when you've been trudging along, dragging the weight around, and looking for a place to sit and relax, but everywhere is soulless.....

Then you find a sweet little place, and its called THE SNUG and its juuuuuuust riiiiiight and it has it all

Gorgeous staff Tasty offerings Decor like your posh aunt Millicents' - the one who drank double gins for brunch and was mellow as hell alllll day, not uptight aunt Sue, she was no fun really. Well this place is just like it. Stays open til 10 Knows how to make good cake And better coffee Friendly and sweet staff who obviously do modelling on the side Large selection of local beers so he's happy too

They have comfy armchairs all over the place, and we had the ones with views of the sunset . Free wifi -v good reception. And mellow toons in the background. Whoever owns this place is our type of people.

Sooooooo glad I found this place Only disappointed I couldn't give...

This is a really lovely place, the decor is great and overall it has a really nice feel, almost a bit like the cafe in Allo Allo...for those of us old enough to remember! 😆

For two drinks (wine and prosecco) it was around £12, which is excellent value, especially compared to Soho next door, which for the same two drinks is an obscene £20.50!

It would be five stars for me had it not been for the really stark overhead halogen lighting. 'The Snug' conjures up ideas of cosy warm, ambient lighting but it is just far too bright....please dim the lights in there and make it...
