W Beach Bournemouth — Restaurant in England

Had a very bad experience due to an ignorant waitress. We ordered drinks and loaded fries at the bar. We took the drinks with us back to our table but soon decided to move seats to seek a more shaded spot. Having chosen a new seat I went up to a waitress and explained that we had moved seats. 5 mins later she came out carrying a portion of fries. She took them to our original seat so I went up to her and explained again that we had moved seats. She replied, 'they're not yours', so I went back to my seat. She took the fries back to the kitchen. She then appeared again still carrying the fries and wandererd around. I tried again to explain that we had moved seats and that we had orded fries. Unbelievably she shook her head and took the fries back to the bar. Having spoken to the staff at the bar she eventually brought the fries over to our table. Shockingly she didn't even apologise. Came here on a sunny Saturday afternoon and there was no queue. Prior to visiting, I did try to book online however was unable to do so as the table was less than 6 people. We were given a booth in the shade which was perfect. Within the area there is limited signal and the WIFI would not work for all of 4 us meaning we were unable to load and order from the QR code. The queue for the bar was often busy but was fine. The drinks are more expensive than going somewhere in actual Bournemouth town however you will pay a premium for where the bar is located. There is a good range of cocktails and food available. We did eat here and the food arrived promptly and was good value although it took time for the waitress to bring over cutlery once being served. I visited today and, unfortunately, it was a mixed experience. We had to find someone to serve us when we arrived, which wasn’t ideal. I ordered two RISE bowls with chicken, two glasses of wine, and a juice. The total came to £82, which felt quite expensive for what we received.

The service was okay overall—no major issues—but the food was disappointing. The chicken in the bowls was overcooked, dry, and lacked flavor. On top of that, adding chicken cost an extra £6 for just four small slices of chicken breast, which really didn’t feel like good value.

If I compare this place to Aperitivo in Southbourne, I’d definitely recommend Aperitivo instead. The food and overall experience there have been far superior...
