We called in to Keswick on our way to another area in the lakes. 10 of us in our party and were were looking for some mid-afternoon caffeine and sugar. Keswick was busy and we wandered around and found waffleicious by chance. We went in and were welcomed quickly by the staff. The menu was quite extensive and had loads of sweet and savoury options on it. We picked and ordered a variety of things from cookie dough, crepes, waffles and hot drinks. The till staff were lovely and accommodating of us making little changes here and there and we're very friendly.
The food came very quickly and was beautiful! Our daughter couldn't quite manage to finish her crepe, so they staff offered us a takeaway box which made her happy.
Honestly worth the visit for a sweet treat, we didn't try their warm food but it looks as good as the sweet stuff was!
Can't recommend Waffleicious enough, great staff, great food, great prices and atmosphere, we will be back when next...
Read moreMon 15/7/24 Went a day out by coach to the Keswick Convention & ventured in here for a breakfast & I asked them to serve it up onto a hot 🔥 plate 🍽️ if I didn't ask it would have been put into a cold plate.
The fried 🥚🥚 looked nice BUT were a wee bit frizled underneath as can happen in a few eateries, the hash brown was crispy on top but greasy inside, the bacon 🥓 hadn't much taste off it & it was good to see no soft fat round the edges of it & hardly any mushrooms 🍄 were provided & the 1/2 tomato 🍅 wasn't hard. The 2 link sausage 🌭 tasted just gr8.
The pot of tea that I ordered for two, came as 2 large cups of T. The staff were all very pleasant BUT next year if we manage down D.V. [God Willing] we will pop into the HONEY POT 🍯 just round the corner & try out their breakfast & hopefully it will come...
Read moreFood: There's nothing really good or bad to say about the food. It's very very average and it won't wow you much. Came for brunch and left rather underwhelmed.
The hot chocolate had a pretty latte art on it and came with a biscoff biscuit. Toastie was a tad dry but it came with a side of coleslaw which was a neat touch. Everything tastes how you'd imagine. I did expect a bit more given the price point. £4 for a skimp portion of chips and £7.90 for the toastie. Everything in the pictures came to over £22.
Service & Atmosphere: Nice and open space. Has a restroom.
You can take a seat anywhere you like and then order at the till. Didn't have much interaction with the staff except for ordering and when the waitress gave us our food. They did seem friendly though, and thanked us when we left...
