Waverley Cafe Ltd — Restaurant in England

So after looking for a fish and chips place where we can sit inside, we chose this place. I ordered fish and chips as a standard order and a few others from our group ordered before me. The man on the counter had already argued with one of his colleagues and it seems that his argument was having an effect on his work as he was very unhelpful and had very limited communication - I am not asking for a full blown conversation but he could have at least smiled. We waited for our order and then some woman says that we are not allowed to sit inside unless we pay more! At no point did the man at the counter tell us this or offer us the option to pay more to sit inside, so after all this searching, we didn't get to sit inside anyway. A person from our group ordered two fish and 1 portion of chips and received a portion of chips that is actually smaller than if he had ordered one portion on its own like I did! The chips are over fried and are most certainly not fresh - I cook a lot of food and know what fresh potatoes taste like. The fish is oily and a bit under fried. It has been bulked up with batter but the actual fish is quite small. The vinegar is basically watered down to the point where you might as well have not put any on. The 'service' offered overall is very poor and falls well below standard. I drove from 60 miles away to come up to Blackpool, see the lights and have some decent fish and chips. The worst experience ever. Had MEALS there yesterday. Been so sick since. My sister ordered HAM egg and chips we had to send it back the ham was off smelt terrible was warm and sweaty. They didn't even say sorry just put fresh ham on the plate. My sister left it. I ordered chilli and chips tasted ok but have I felt ill all evening and feel so sick now early hours in the morning. My niece left her kebab as it looked a funny colour. The pitta bread had been warmed in microwave and was very hard. The chips were cooked in dirty fat and tasted awful. The old woman was rude. She was licking her fingers after cutting cake up. Omg that was the worst experience in a cafe ever in my life. 40 pounds wasted. The latte for 2.35 was nescafe with hot milk. The staff were playing with their hair. Chef had no uniform on. You should be ashamed of yourself. If young or elderly people had ate that ham or chilli God knows what would happen to them. If I'm still ill in the morning I will be reporting you to environmental health. I hope no one else is poorly...

Worst cafe and service I've ever had. After hearing how great the cafe was and how you could get pretty much anything and great value for money I took my daughter. Asked for a hot beef sandwich and chips and chicken nuggets and chips and a can of fanta. What came was a tiny plate of cold beef sandwiches with a salad. Small plate of chips and a bowl of nuggets. Asked at the counter if my chips where coming as I assumed he misheard about the sandwiches which I could overlook to be told the chips were already at the table. Repeated my order to the man who just didn't care. Asked how that came to 10 pound? Just to be met with a look. No apology or offer of a refund. I'd double check the prices as its not the same as the menu. Don't waste your time clearly they don't care about what they serve you and don't care about...
