A fantastic little quaint pub, with a new landlord and landlady, who have some fantastic new ideas.
We visited on Father Day for the darts competition, Father and Son/Daughter and have to say it was brilliant. Really welcoming atmosphere, they couldn't do enough for us and even better the kids loved it. It was great to be in a place where kids having fun are not frowned upon.
An impromptu quiz that got all involved on the day, so much fun.
A great family pub with some great history, located right near Hill New Theatre, you can often find some of the stars of the shows visiting for a drink.
The pub had a great beer garden with some lovely views of the History building, plus a small piece of land for the kids to run and play, fantastic in this weather.
Webwill certainly be back and probably be joining the quiz nights and darts competition days.
Thank you Kylie and Dave for welcoming the whole family and good luck with...

Old English Gentleman is under New management and it's a delightful local pub in the Theatre District in Hull. New landlord Dave and Kylie are a welcome change.
Minutes away from Hull New Theatre and a 5 minute walk to Hull City Hall.
Excellent choice of beers. Plenty of spirits to choose from.
It's a very friendly pub. A good group of regulars mix with the regular theatre crowd. It's quite common to see the celebs from the shows.
It doesn't serve any food at the moment.
Prices for lager start at £3 during the week. They have special offers everyday. Wine starts at £3.75 for a small. Usually two hand pull ales on at all times. £2.70 on a Tuesday.
I'd recommend the pub highly to anyone looking for a quick pint or a longer session. Plenty of food options nearby.
It's changed a lot in the last couple weeks, all for the better. Highly...
