A Hidden Mediterranean Gem in Brighton
While Brighton boasts numerous Mediterranean restaurants, Beirut stands out as a truly exceptional dining destination. What sets this establishment apart is their commitment to authentic flavors, impeccable service, and generous portions that leave you wanting to return immediately—as I did.
Unlike the typical lively and boisterous environment found in many Middle Eastern restaurants, Beirut offers a refreshingly serene dining experience. The staff speaks softly and moves with grace, creating an elegant atmosphere that allows guests to focus on the magnificent flavors before them.
The quality of ingredients at is unmistakable. Each dish showcases the chef's dedication to authentic Mediterranean cuisine while occasionally adding subtle creative touches that elevate the experience(and probablymake it more familiar the European guests.
First visit Mansaf .. Though slightly different from the traditional Jordanian recipe, their interpretation was magnificent—tender lamb shank baked to perfection, falling off the bone and served with a special rice mixture enhanced by minced meat and roasted almond flakes. This is the traditional stuffed lamb recipe but I am not complaining at all :)
Hummus and Mutabal.. Nothing like the dull, sour paste often served elsewhere. These were the creamiest, most flavorful dips I've had in Brighton, possibly in the entire UK—truly authentic and exquisite.
Second Visit: Lamb Musaqa: A traditional dish featuring eggplant and green bell peppers cooked with succulent lamb chunks. The quality of the meat was extraordinary. The taste took me on a trip to cairo
Qawerma Hummus : A perfect combination that showcased both cooking artistry and premium ingredients. The aromatic profile was from out of this world.
Service The hosts were polite, attentive, and helpful without being intrusive. The complimentary mint tea and detox ice water at the end of our meal was a thoughtful touch that perfectly concluded our dining experience.

I've never been to lebanon myself so i cant say how authentic the food was HOWEVER the website clearly states it is home made & traditional meals and thats exactly what it felt like , Comforting & delicious home made food.
I went in the morning to have breakfast which was a rate of just under 6 pounds per item , We also orderd a couple items off the normal menu & freshly squeezed orange juice.
The shakshuka was ever so fresh and came with bread ; not overwhelned with flavour but it is very tasty.
Manakish - Lahm bi ajeen ( flat bread topped with mince lamb, tomato, onion & pine nuts . This was very nice & reminds me of turkish lahmacun , all the ingreidents tasted so fresh and it was not overly fullfulling.
Manakish - sujuk This was my fav dish , it was filled with minced lamb, garlic & mozzarella and was AMAZING !
Fattoush salad - Nothing special, different verity of vegs, fresh and you cant go wrong.

Read moreWe found this restaurant just by chance as we were in Brighton shopping. The waitress honestly looked like she was in a world of her own as she was not attentive at all. We ordered a mix grill requesting for lamb kofte and chicken shish aswell as a mutabel dish. We waited for almost 45 minutes even though the restaurant wasn't busy. Once the food arrived we were extremely disappointed. We were given lamb shish instead of lamb kofte but we couldn't be bothered to complain because we were grateful the food arrived. Unfortunately the chicken shish was completely dry and bland which looked and tasted like it was cooked earlier and reheated. The lamb shish was the worst honestly it almost tasted like I was chewing on cardboard it was bland and hard. It was such a let down as we have eaten in many Lebanese restaurants which have been excellent but this was...
