The customer service was terrible. They got our order wrong (which is fine, we're all human), but once they brought out the new burger (which was still incorrect) they then continued to argue with us about the order when we told them it was wrong. We were offered a 20% discount which we were happy with, but then a member of the team persisted to come over and argue with us. We were already eating the burger at this point but he still persisted and asked if he could take it back. Again. We said no as we were happy to just take the discount and eat the wrong thing, but he then retracted the 20% discount gesture. Used to drink here in over 35 years ago was a good pub then much more rough and ready pub then with two pool tables upstairs. Today it's changed it clientele somewhat not that that's a problem as times they are a changing. It's more of a younger trendy feel with windiws that open right out onto the street. Lovely when it's a hot summer evening like it was. No real bitter beer or ale so that was disappointing. The toilets upstairs had lots of seating areas but was totally empty but the downstairs was full. There used to be a bar and two pool tables up there. It seems a shame that this has gone and it empty. But had a nice & friendly staff + customer's the atmosphere was good to that says alot...

It's one of my favourite pubs in Brighton. The pub offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing evening out. The drink selection is impressive, featuring a variety of local beers and well-crafted cocktails. While The Temple Bar doesn't make its own food, Noah's Smash Burgers, which have taken over the kitchen, are absolutely delicious. The burgers are juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked, making them a standout. The service was top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who made sure we had everything we needed.
