Lavash Mediterranean Restaurant, Brighton – A Sublime Symphony of Flavour and Hospitality Nestled in the heart of Brighton’s bustling city centre, Lavash Mediterranean Restaurant is nothing short of a culinary revelation. From the moment you step through the door, the intoxicating aroma of grilled meats, fresh herbs, and warm spices draws you into a world where taste and tradition dance in perfect harmony. The food? Sublime doesn’t even begin to describe it. Every dish sings with authenticity and precision. The lamb kofta melts in your mouth—succulent, perfectly seasoned, and grilled to tender perfection. Their signature lavash wraps are a masterstroke: delicate yet hearty, packed with juicy chargrilled chicken, zesty pickles, and a yoghurt-mint sauce so fresh it could revive the dead. And then there’s the mezze—each plate a celebration of texture and flavour, from the creamy hummus to the smoky baba ghanoush, lifted by the crunch of freshly baked flatbread still warm from the oven. But what elevates Lavash from excellent to extraordinary is the service. The staff embody the very spirit of Mediterranean hospitality—gracious, warm, and intuitive. Every request is met with a genuine smile and an eagerness to please that never feels forced. Whether you're a seasoned local or a first-time visitor, you're treated like family. Dining at Lavash is more than just a meal—it’s an experience. The ambient lighting, the gentle hum of conversation, and the careful attention to every detail create an atmosphere that is both intimate and vibrant. It’s a place where laughter lingers in the air and every bite feels like a celebration. In a city teeming with culinary options, Lavash Mediterranean Restaurant doesn’t just stand out—it soars. For anyone in search of authentic flavour, flawless service, and a night to remember, Lavash is simply brilliant. Unmissable.

Lavash is a Middle Eastern restaurant located in the heart of Brighton. It has a warm and inviting atmosphere, with traditional Middle Eastern decor. It doesn’t look like much from outside, but the interior decor is beautiful. Although a bit pricey, the flavors are truly authentic. I recently visited Lavash with my partner for lunch. We shared the mixed kebab platter. It comes with grilled chicken, lamb çöp shish and handmade spicy lamb mince kebab (Adana kebab) served with bulgur pilaf, red cabbage, raw onion, salad, chilli & yogurt sauce. We ordered the veggie mixed platter as well but they forgot about it which is why they lose a point on service. We also tried the baklava for dessert, which was a nice sweet treat to end the meal. The baklava was tasty but tasted like it was a little old and had a bit too much syrup for my liking. For drinks, we ordered pomegranate juice, Turkish coffee and ßalgam (turnip juice). The pomegranate juice was delicious. The Turkish coffee was well balanced and served with a Turkish delight. Not too bitter. Overall, we had a good experience at Lavash. The food was delicious, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was inviting. It was a shame we didn’t get to try the veggie mixed platter, I’m sure it’s yummy. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a authentic Middle Eastern dining experience in Brighton. If you order a main per person and a few starters to share, you’re probably looking at paying ÂŁ20-ÂŁ30 per head. They also do 10% off for students.

After trying to decide where to eat we stumbled across this place noticing them making there own bread through the window. What a great choice that was. We started with Houmus which was home made with amazing bread. Then shared a selection of meats trying each and I have had a lot of middle eastern/Turkish in my life but this was different you can tell that the resteraunt actually cares about the food and flavour and it tastes so much more authentic with great flavours and the meat cooked to perfection it made me thankful for noticing the bread. The salad was great and plenty of sauce alongside very friendly helpful service again showing they care for there customers. I would definitely advise a visit and I guarantee you will return.

I had dinner at this restaurant last night, I was accompanied by a friend of mine. I had a very bad experience at this restaurant. Usually when customers come in and wait for their food, they are given some complementary dips with some Nan bread, they didn’t do so. When the main arrived, the food was cold and literally just 1 skewer of each meat
while I was placing the order I asked if this will be sufficient for me as I was very hungry he said yes. But when I food arrived, I wasn’t satisfied with the quantity and meat felt old and very chewy. As I asked for some yogurt dip, as it was too less in my plate, I was served some but they even charged two pounds extra for just a tiny quantum of dip they gave. Other customers were served complementary tea too but we weren’t.

It was cold in the restaurant and I would not come again. As when I pay Upto £20 for a main in other restaurants, I usually get a plate full with good quality food. But my expectations weren’t met! I want a refund!

Very...
