✅ Pros - Customer service was very good, the waiter was helpful and showed me where to get cutlery and sauce bottles etc which was good. The flavour of the food was excellent (I had the peri peri tomato salad with quinoa, feta and pitta chips which was very tasty, and the chicken was amazing as usual) The table was clean and food arrived hot and in good time.
❌ Cons - Bizarrely, half the menu was unavailable tonight even though it was only the start of the evening (6pm) and the restaurant was half full. None of the chicken breast or chicken thighs and sides options were available. Hence I ordered a salad with chicken thighs because I could do that, strangely, but not order chicken by itself and sides. Maybe they'd run out of sides. I felt the portion was on the small size, considering it cost almost £13.
Not this restaurant's fault but I really dislike how you have to order by QR code. Nando's in person contact is allowed you know, and actually I like to order through a real human because creating an account and forgetting your password and getting enough signal is a faff when you could order in person in less than a minute. Read moreThere was a very disruptive, violent and intimidating argument among two parties during our meal. We felt uncomfortable and unsafe due to this as there was racial slurs and swearing being screamed across the small floor of the restaurant as well as chairs being thrown and glasses being smashed. The staff tried to contain the explosive situation while police entered and exited the building. We thought we’d of been offered some form of compensation for this terrifying experience. We were sat very near to the whole ordeal and it wasn’t until I got back home, reflecting back that I realised how frightening and wrong this was. Read moreWill not be racing back any time soon. We were sat at a table and advised to use the app to order which we did. The alternative was to go to the counter to order. We watched as food (ours and other peoples) was prepared and left under heaters for considerable time before being served. The servers cleaned the tables then picked up the food to serve. I only saw one server wash her hands in the whole time we were there. Service was slow, food arrive lupe warm after its long wait on the counter top... butter wouldn't melt on the corn on cob because it wasn't warm enough to melt it! There was no one to give feedback to because despite the good number of staff around, no one came near to ask. Ordering on app removes any personal interaction.
